2017 Yamaha EX Deluxe WaveRunner Review – Long Haul Episode 13

05:30
Not content to simply build "their version of a Spark," Yamaha WaveRunners designed a completely unique 3-seater runabout to compete in the ever-growing Rec Lite segment. The new EX series is light, playful and smart, and yet retains a lot of Yamaha's standards in reliability and longevity. The Watercraft Journal reviews the top-of-the-line EX, the EX Deluxe, and shows that just because it's budget-minded doesn't mean it isn't fun. You can read the full review of the EX Series HERE: https://watercraftjournal.com/generation-ex-2017-yamaha-ex-series-waverunner-models/ The Watercraft Journal publishes every day, Monday–Friday. 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Review – Long Haul, Ep. 35

10:58
The 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro is possibly the most revolutionary personal watercraft to have hit the market since, well heck, ever. Why do we say that? Because it's not just shaking things up in the personal watercraft marketplace, but it's also running head first into the recreational fishing industry too! Equipped with more fish-hunting goodies than most center console and bass boats, capable of outrunning most of 'em too, and coming in at half the cost (MSRP $14,799), the Fish Pro is the PWC to put an end to kayak fishing, and lure a lot of folks away from big dollar boats and towards this Garmin-equipped, fully-outfitted runabout. We got tossed about a bit, but hey, that's all part of the fun, while we reel in a few bites off of Jupiter, Florida's turbulent Atlantic Coast. So enjoy another episode from The Watercraft Journal, the biggest, most popular PWC magazine in the world! 2018 Sea-Doo GTX Limited 230 & 300 Review – Long Haul Episode 18

08:08
It's the most well-equipped, luxurious personal watercraft that Sea-Doo has built, and in this episode of "Long Haul" we put this supercharged machine through its paces. Of the GTX models, there's only two tiers of the Limited series, 230 and 300. We don't get into the nitty gritty performance differences between the two, because frankly, the person who is going to buy one likely isn't going racing. So what does The Watercraft Journal think about Sea-Doo's all-new, completely redesigned 2018 GTX Limited 230 and 300? The revolutionary ST3 platform borrows heavily from both the outgoing RXT-X as well as the current RXP-X 300 to make it the best rough water-handling Sea-Doo we've ever ridden. But it's not just in the chop where it shines, either. The opulently-appointed Limited package is the only Sea-Doo to include its BRP Premium Audio System and USB port for phone chargers as standard equipment! (It's optional on all other ST3-based machines.) Add to that Sea-Doo all-new centralized storage, a flip-up top deck, massive engine access panel and modular Linq system and you've got one heck of a machine on your hands. 2018 Yamaha GP1800 WaveRunner Review – Long Haul Episode 17

05:30
It's considered by many (included a few inside of the company itself) to be the most successful supercharged runabout Yamaha has ever produced. Not only has the GP1800 charged to the top of every podium its competed for, but it was also one of the highest selling machines for its inaugural year, clinching #6 out of the Top 10 best selling PWC for 2017. So why is what the online haters call a "boosted VXR" so popular? Because it's much more than its detractors let on. Hewn from Yamaha's own super-lightweight NanaXcel2 material and propelled by its 250HP (*unofficial) Super Vortex High Output (SVHO) and 160mm pump, the GP1800 leads the industry with its power-to-weight ratio. Add to it a versatile hull design that can cruise, navigate wind-blown chop, and gnarly offshore white caps, and it's the zero-frills-all-thrills machine enthusiasts have been dying for. 2018 Yamaha FX SVHO WaveRunner Review – Long Haul Episode 19

03:35
Long, low and sleek and able to pretty much do it all. It's even been the recipient of The Watercraft Journal's "Watercraft of The Year," the winner of several offshore super course and endurance races, and continues to be the favorite of performance-minded runabout riders since its redesign in 2012. Today we review the 2018 Yamaha FX SVHO WaveRunner, looking over its supercharged-and-intercooled 250-plus-horsepower SVHO engine, 33-gallons of storage, 18.5-gallon fuel cell, and a bevy of other creature comforts. We also compare it to other equally-priced and/or equipped machines in the market as well. It's a pretty brief episode (just over 3-and-a-half minutes), so make sure to check out the full-length review of the 2018 Yamaha FX SVHO here: https://watercraftjournal.com/intellectual-honesty-2018-yamaha-fx-svho-waverunner/ The Watercraft Journal publishes every day, Monday–Friday. 2018 Yamaha VXR WaveRunner Review – Long Haul Episode 20

06:55
Could the VXR be Yamaha's ultimate naturally-aspirated WaveRunner? We certainly want to say so! With its striking paint and trim scheme, stellar handling, gobs of low-end torque and included electric trim and RiDE dual-throttle brake and reverse system, it's got everything it needs and nothing else that it doesn't. Sharing the same mold as the GP1800 and base-model VX Sport, the VXR is cast from the middleweight NanoXcel material (not the lighter NanoXcel2), helping drop the weight slightly below its supercharged sibling. With 180-horsepower on tap, the VXR delivers plenty of oomph right out of the gate, and yet, can play all day long thanks to its 18.5-gallon fuel cell and class-leading fuel economy. Sure, we're saying this is a heck of a hot rod, but it also can do double duty as a fun-for-the-whole-family toy. The Watercraft Journal publishes every day, Monday–Friday. 2019 Yamaha VXR WaveRunner Review: The Watercraft Journal Ep. 41

04:00
If the obnoxious lapping of the water in this video doesn't make you want to pee your pants (sorry! We know it's annoying), the seat-of-your-pants acceleration of the 2019 Yamaha VXR WaveRunner will. The Watercraft Journal was lucky enough to get our hands on not one, but both color iterations of the new VXR that is lighter, quicker and faster than ever before. Sharing more with the new 2019 GP1800R than previous models as well, the new VXR is able to snap a turn, handle chop and maneuver through the rough stuff thanks to a race-inspired ride plate and top loader intake grate. Together with its NanoXcel2 hull and deck, the naturally-aspirated VXR acts so much like a supercharged ski you'll feel bad filling it up with 87 octane. 2019 Yamaha GP1800R WaveRunner Review – Long Haul, Ep. 38

06:17
This is it, the big bad daddy. The Watercraft Journal was one of the first magazines to get its hands on the 2019 Yamaha GP1800R WaveRunner. From the outside, the Darth Vader-esque black-and-red livery might be enough to lure you into the dealership, but there's much more to this "R" edition than you might know! For 2019, Yamaha borrowed heavily from the performance aftermarket and provided the GP1800R with an all-new top loader intake grate for improved acceleration and reduced cavitation. There's also a redesigned ride plate that lifts the bow at speed while improving traction. Heck, Yamaha even went in and reinforced the top of the pump tunnel with more material and big ol' brackets for you hard core performance tuners looking to push your new Yamaha well past its intended top speed (69.4mph was our best top speed). And while Yamaha is keeping the GP1800R mostly frills-free, there are a few great aesthetic touches that gives the newly priced $14,199 GP1800R some value. So check out our review here as well as the feature article below. There's a reason the GP1800 won The Watercraft Journal's "Watercraft of The Year" award two years in a row. 2018 Yamaha VX Cruiser HO WaveRunner Review – Long Haul Ep. 27

03:30
It's pretty much identical to Yamaha's performance-minded VXR, so why is the VX Cruiser HO priced $600 less? Frankly, we have no idea because we think it's got more bells-and-whistles from what you'd expect from such a budget-priced runabout. It's a fun, zippy performer that's both stable and sporty – so what's there not to love? Want fuel economy? You've got it. Low-end grunt to tow rafts and skiers? You betcha. How about 180-horsepower for lots of fun? You're looking at it! Join The Watercraft Journal for this quick-and-concise review of one of Yamaha's most aggressively priced and smartly-equipped entries in the Recreation lineup, the 2018 VX Cruiser HO. 2019 Yamaha EXR WaveRunner Review – Long Haul, Ep. 36

07:04
OK you old boys; all you "nobody makes anything lightweight, fast and torquey anymore" guys – listen up! Apparently the squeaky wheel DOES get the grease, because Yamaha Motor Corp. USA has listened to your cries and lamentations and delivered a true featherweight, 2-seater runabout with great grunt and plenty of acceleration in the form of its new 2019 EXR WaveRunner. Building from its original EX platform, Yamaha hacked out 60-pounds of weight by using its NanoXcel2 bonding material – the same stuff reserved for the GP1800R, VXR and all the SVHO-powered FX WaveRunners! Then they screwed on a vicious top-loader intake grate and then installed a set-back pump for better low-end traction (ie. less cavitation). What that gives you is a fun, squirrelly runabout that you can jump, powerslide and even race like you used to (we're talking to you old school 2-stroke lovers). Priced at $9,299, it's no cheapo entry Rec-Lite machine but it is easily the most fun that we've had on the water in a long, long time. Dial up the wayback machine and transport yourself back to 1995! The Watercraft Journal Uncut: RIVA Racing's Stage 1 Plus-Equipped 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO

02:08
While we don't walk you personally through RIVA Racing's latest creation – the Stage 1 Plus kit for the all-new 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO – we do get an exclusive look at how it performs on RIVA's own private test lake hidden in Pompano Beach, FL. Piloted by World and National champion, Brian Baldwin, pay close attention to the flashing red box up in the corner. While RIVA advertises the kit as a "sustained" 80mph package, you'll see the MPH tickle speeds of 84mph. We saw it! You will too! And we're not just talking about top speed here either. The Stage 1 Plus kit radically improves the Yamaha's handling, hair-pin cornering and rough water tracking even in the ugliest of offshore chop! 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 Review – Long Haul Episode 16

12:55
Whoohoo! It's possibly the single-most anticipated episode of "Long Haul" since we test rode the 2017 Kawasaki SX-R. And why is that? Because The Watercraft Journal just spent four whole days flogging the heck out of Sea-Doo's all-new, completely redesigned 2018 RXT-X 300. Riding on a completely revolutionary ST3 platform, the new RXT-X borrows heavily from both its predecessor as well as the current RXP-X 300 to make it the best rough water-handling runabout ever. Oh, and let's not forget completely redesigning how a PWC is even supposed to work with centralized storage, a flip-up top deck, massive engine access panel and just so much more. 2018 Sea-Doo RXT 230 Review – Long Haul Episode 23

08:20
The Watercraft Journal gives you a closer look at the all-new 2018 Sea-Doo RXT 230. It's lesser price shaves off quite a bit from its more expensive sibling, the RXT-X 300, the RXT 230 still has a lot to offer. Riding on an all CM-Tech hull and a wholly innovative deck that employs BRP's easy access centralized storage compartment, tilt steering, and all-new LinQ accessory platform, the RXT allows riders to reach into their storage without leaving their seat, and even refill their gas tank while at the dock! And with a removable access plate revealing a wide-open engine compartment, service and tuners can reach the whole powertrain with ease. Performance-wise, the RXT 230 hit's a top speed of 68+mph in a sprint, and can handle pretty much any water conditions without breaking a sweat. 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO WaveRunner Review: The Watercraft Journal Ep. 39

08:37
Back in September and into October of 2018, The Watercraft Journal was given the first 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO WaveRunner to beat on as we wished. So we took it down to Louisiana and chased some gators through the bayou, of course! What we found was a full-sized runabout that loves to lean into the corners and weave in and out of the cypress knobs like a runabout half its size – and urges you to squeeze the throttle harder with every turn! That's right! Yamaha figured out how to build a family-friendly 3-seater with 44-gallons of storage and the industry's first all-color, touchscreen dashboard, that when pushed, can perform like its smaller GP1800R sibling! Yamaha's Wireless Bluetooth Speakers Review: The Watercraft Journal Ep. 40

03:39
Easily one of the most popular additional features for personal watercraft has got to be sound systems. People want to listen to their favorite music while out on the water. Yamaha, wanting to partner with RAM Mounts, developed a almost entirely non-invasive sound system for its EX, VX and new FX lineup. These wireless, Bluetooth-controlled speakers sync up flawlessly with your smartphone and each other to provide the rider a crisp sound, while not needing to pull power from the PWC's battery and allows you to take the speakers with you while you sit on the beach or pack up after the day is over. Oh yeah, and they float! Watch as The Watercraft Journal gives you a closer look at these new speakers and walks you through how they work here. And please subscribe to our YouTube channel! Exploring Lake Cumberland, KY By Yamaha GP1800 – Long Haul, Ep. 37

07:49
For our final ride of the season, The Watercraft Journal joined the Middle Tennessee Personal Watercraft Club for a amazing one-day exploration of 76 Falls and Lake Cumberland, Kentucky. Together with nearly two dozen other like-minded adventurers (and a 4-year-old passenger), we cruised the cliffs, greeted the wildlife and rode beneath a couple of waterfalls all before venturing deep into unmarked canyons while the sun began to set over the horizon. There's some absolutely gorgeous footage here and we're tickled to have been aboard Yamaha's knock-it-out-of-the-park 2018 GP1800. Sure, it's the winningest PWC on the race course today, but it's also a fine cruiser when you're not ripping it at wide-open-throttle. 2017 Sea-Doo GTR-X 230 Long Term Review – Long Haul Episode 21

09:50
Whoowee! The Watercraft Journal sums up nearly a whole year with a 2017 Sea-Doo GTR-X 230 in just over 9 minutes! Many of you will also recognize this machine as being the trusty steed on several previous episodes of Long Haul throughout last year – and for good reason! Not only did we clock consistent 68-miles per hour top speeds, but averaged fuel economy that challenged many naturally-aspirated machines. Sure, we have a few critiques but overall, this GTI-based, RXP-X topped runabout was a big winner in our books. We go into a lot of detail, but make sure to check out our full-length feature review of this same ski on The Watercraft Journal. (Oh yeah, and there's a weird few seconds of audio in there. Crisscrossing Florida in a Single Day – Long Haul Ep. 1

11:03
Welcome to the first episode of Long Haul – a show about pushing personal watercraft (PWC) a little bit further than most. In this episode, Jetski Junkies' Kev Hemingway and The Watercraft Journal's Kevin Shaw attempt to crisscross the entire state of Florida from the West Coast to East Coast and back west in a single day. We needed a lot of help, good weather, better mileage, and a lot of luck to pull this stunt off. The outcome? You'll have to watch and see. But because we're in it for the Long Haul, it's always about the adventure. The Watercraft Journal publishes every day, Monday–Friday. Hammering on Yamaha's 2017 all-new GP1800 – Long Haul Ep. 3

04:50
On this episode of Long Haul, The Watercraft Journal's Kevin Shaw walks through the all-new 2017 Yamaha GP1800. Kevin details the evolution of this machine from VX to the new replacement to the outgoing FZR and FZS. With a superior power-to-weight ratio than any other musclecraft of its kind, the new GP1800 is one of the tightest handling PWC ever made available to the public... and Kevin takes it to the water to beat the ever-living snot out of 'it. We even interview living legend Scott Watkins to get the skinny behind this new machine. Yamaha stepped things up in a big way this year, and Long Haul was there to catch all the action. 10:54
Getting the most out of your supercharged personal watercraft really isn't all that difficult when you keep it properly maintained and follow the manufacturer's instructions. For our long term test unit – a 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 – we knew we weren't getting the best our machine could put out because it had been nearly 50 hours since it's last service. So today, we show you not only the necessary steps how to perform your Sea-Doo's 50-hour maintenance; such as an oil change, swapping the oil filter, as well as gapping and replacing the spark plugs; but also how to unlock your RXT-X's inner beast with the use of RIVA Racing's Speed Control Override Module. The Ultimate Sea-Doo Ride Through Chattanooga, TN – Long Haul Ep. 31

10:25
Without a doubt, this has got to be one of our personal favorite episodes of "Long Haul" as well as easily one of the best experiences in filming an episode for The Watercraft Journal. Beginning as an innocuous question from Tim McKercher at Sea-Doo, what came of it was an amazing 3-day trip to Tennessee's famous River City, Chattanooga. Rife with a mile-long history as storied as America itself, and built upon the Tennessee River itself, Chattanooga has quickly become one of our favorite ride locations. There's no shortage of gorgeous scenery, virgin wildlife, historical points of interest, and just so, so much more. When we weren't speeding down the mirror-smooth water aboard our supercharged Sea-Doo RXT-X 300, we were boarding a 100-year-old steam locomotive and touring the countryside, or petting a passing stingray. Yup, you read that right. Check it out! RIVA Racing Stage III-Equipped 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 – Long Haul Ep. 25

05:53
The Watercraft Journal test rides RIVA Racing's maniacally-fast Stage III kit-equipped 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300. Starting with a stock 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300, RIVA Racing throws on its proven Stage III kit to aptly unlock all of the power potential in the venerable ACE 300 engine and unlock what can be done with the new ST3 platform. We were wowed with this package as it gives the enthusiast all of the power and neck-snapping acceleration that you'd expect for the hardcore racer. The thrust comes on so dang hard we literally launched the ski completely out of the water – that is until we engaged the Sea-Doo's factory Launch Control – and then BAM! We were off and running all the way to 83mph. And so can you. Cruising 90 Miles On The Cumberland – Long Haul Ep. 4

04:24
On this episode of Long Haul, The Watercraft Journal's Kevin Shaw takes us on a 90-plus-mile ride from Ashland City, Tennessee, down the famous Cumberland River (once canoed by frontiersmen and fur trappers, and even paddled by American folk hero Davy Crockett), into the middle of scenic downtown "Music City" itself: Nashville, Tennessee – all aboard Yamaha's 2016 FX HO Cruiser. From there, we double-back and venture into the Harpeth River Valley with sheer rock walls and rich with autumn colors. It's one of the most scenic rides in the South and will have you whistlin' Dixie and craving a sweet tea when its over. Watch and see - Long Haul, it's always about the adventure. 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO vs. 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 – Long Haul Ep. 34

11:03
WOW! We never thought our first acceleration shootout would be so hotly debated – OK, that's not true. We totally did. Pinning two of the most exciting personal watercraft in the marketplace today, the 2018 Yamaha GP1800 WaveRunner and the new 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 raised a great many questions, and we've tried to address them in our second shootout. But, rather than facing off against the GP1800 again, we challenged the reigning Sea-Doo with the all-new 2019 FX SVHO WaveRunner! These two bone-stock skis both had nearly 40 hours on their clocks, and since we couldn't prove on camera that there was an equal amount of fuel, we topped off tanks again -– the same as last time, and even brought back the same rider, Greenhulk.net's own Jerry Gaddis, weighing 240lbs. We also used the same Vbox Sport (one of the most reliable accelerometers available) to track true 5-to-20, 30, 40, 50, and 60mph, as well as sustained (not peak) top speed. You won't believe the results because neither did Jerry or we. You can read the report from our first one-on-one shootout in greater detail HERE: http://watercraftjournal.com/heads-up-showdown-18-sea-doo-rxt-x-300-vs-18-yamaha-waverunner-gp1800/ And we'll have the recap report from this shootout exclusively at www.watercraftjournal.com soon! The Watercraft Journal joins the Middle Tennessee Personal Watercraft Club for a great day of riding the historic Tims Ford Lake and Reservoir in South Central Tennessee. Touring Lake Martin, AL by '18 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 – Long Haul Ep. 33

04:56
Earlier in the riding season, we were invited down to met up with Sea-Doo at the annual In-Water Boat Show hosted by Russell Marine at The Ridge Marina on Lake Martin, Alabama. The event is the Southeast's largest boat show held on the water, and welcomes thousands of would-be buyers and tire-kickers, all coming to see the newest offerings. Although we had to give back the 230-horsepower 2017 GTR-X loaned to us by Sea-Doo last year, we happily exchanged it for Sea-Doo's newest performance flagship, the all-new 2018 RXT-X 300. We spent the next day-and-a-half capitalizing on an absolutely abandoned lake with hardly any boat traffic and some of the prettiest scenery the South has to offer. If you ever get the chance, you gotta go. And enjoy the full report from our trip HERE: https://watercraftjournal.com And please subscribe to our YouTube channel. 2018 Yamaha GP1800 vs. 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 – Long Haul Ep. 26

11:35
So many of you have been screaming for a throwdown shootout, so we've brought you the two most exciting personal watercraft in the marketplace today, the 2018 Yamaha GP1800 WaveRunner and the new 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300. Because handling tests can be subjective and drag races are almost never foolproof, we devised the ultimate test: an acceleration showdown using two bone-stock skis with nearly 30 hours on each clock (28.9 hrs. on the Yamaha and 33 hrs on the Sea-Doo), fully-topped off tanks (so that there's no question how much fuel was in each ski), and the same rider (Greenhulk.net's own Jerry Gaddis, weighing 235lbs.). We use the a Vbox Sport (one of the most reliable accelerometers available) to track true 5-to-20, 30, 40, 50, and 60mph, as well as sustained (not peak) top speed. You won't believe the results because neither did Jerry or we. A full report from this one-on-one shootout with greater details can be found HERE: http://watercraftjournal.com/heads-up-showdown-18-sea-doo-rxt-x-300-vs-18-yamaha-waverunner-gp1800/ And please subscribe to our YouTube channel. Yamaha's RIDE Dual Throttle Control Review: The Watercraft Journal Ep. 43

03:06
When one thinks of personal watercraft it's not often that functioning brakes and intelligent reverse control comes to mind. While not the first to offer a functioning braking system, Yamaha's RiDE Dual Throttle Control system provides the vehicle operator supreme control over their watercraft's ability to slow, stop and maneuver through tight confines (like docks, launch ramps and more). The Watercraft Journal gives you a far deeper look at how Yamaha came to create its RiDE system, how it works and the smart functionality that has given Yamaha WaveRunners an edge over the competition when it comes to safety and predictability. The Watercraft Journal Uncut: RIVA Racing's '18 Sea-Doo RXT-X Pro-Series Sponsons Final Test

02:25
Join The Watercraft Journal for a completely uncut, unedited clip of our final round of testing (and tuning) a set of RIVA Racing Pro-Series Sponsons for the 2018 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 ($499.95). These specially-designed sponsons greatly increase through-line tracking in straight line cruising through rough water, dramatically improve lead-in cornering – particularly when the water is rough – and generally improve the unusual and often unpredictable handling of the ST3 platform from Sea-Doo. As per our installation guide and review (both linked below), we found that the ST3 likes to corner on its nose, requiring 2 or 3 bumps of forward trim. With the sponson blades set down on the 4th (out of 5) placement, you can trim down and still keep the tail hooked while cornering – otherwise, the Read our exclusive review of the RIVA Racing Pro-Series Sponsons at The Watercraft Journal HERE: https://watercraftjournal.com/gallery-riva-racings-sea-doo-2018-rxt-x-300-pro-series-sponsons-video/ Read our exclusive installation guide of the RIVA Racing Pro-Series Sponsons at The Watercraft Journal HERE: https://watercraftjournal.com/gallery-riva-sea-doo-2018-rxt-x-300-pro-series-sponsons-install-tune/ And please subscribe to our YouTube channel. JC Racing '17 Kawasaki SX-R 1500 Mid-Sponsons Install & Test – Long Haul Episode 14

09:03
There's no doubt that the Kawasaki SX-R 1500 is one of the most polarizing machines new for the 2017 model year – and racers and recreational riders alike are coming around the big standup. We've had one in our possession for a while now and we're still getting familiar with everything this ski can do. We were approached by JC Racing who challenged us to install a pair of their mid-sponsons and see how dramatically they improve the SX-R on-the-rail handling. Here we give you a step-by-step installation tutorial as well as real input from a real championship-winning racer. The Watercraft Journal publishes every day, Monday–Friday. 2018 Yamaha GP1800 WaveRunner Impeller Swap – Long Haul Ep. 28

14:44
Sucking up a rock, stick or some other bit of debris is pretty common, and shouldn't hang you up from enjoying the rest of your riding season. In fact, performing an impeller swap is surprisingly simple just as long as you take your time, have the right tools and follow these pretty simple-to-follow steps. While enjoying our 2018 Yamaha GP1800 WaveRunner a little to close to shore, we passed a few rocks through our pump and bent the leading edges of our factory impeller. Dulled edges can lead to slowed acceleration, cavitation and lower top speeds, as well as vibrations (harmonics) that can cause severe engine and pump wear if not treated quickly. Today, The Watercraft Journal gives you a very basic, beginner's guide on how to perform this service in your own home garage. Make sure to pick up a Yamaha Prop Removal Tool from either RIVA Racing or the Greenhulk.net PWC Performance Store prior to commencing the job! The Watercraft Journal Uncut: 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO WaveRunner

09:14
Wait! Before you get mad and give this video a "Dislike" it's just a fun unedited clip from The Watercraft Journal's trip to the Fall Mudbug in Morgan City, LA. This footage was taken during one particularly hilarious ride with a group of like-minded Mudbuggers as we ventured up an irrigation canal/storm runoff deep in the bayou of Morgan City back in October. While this clip is NOT a review, but just an unedited look of how Yamaha's newly redesigned FX platform handles some pretty unruly water. Powered by Yamaha's supercharged SVHO (Super Vortex High Output) 1,812cc 4-stroke marine engine, the FX SVHO produces an "unofficial" 258-horsepower while retaining Yamaha's signature fuel efficiency. Being that the FX is made with Yamaha's stellar NanoXcel2 lightweight bonding material, the full-sized runabout is surprisingly nimble and tracks incredibly straight even in some seriously garbage water. You can even see how the big 3-seater now shares a very natural inside-lean while cornering, similar to its stripped-down hot rod sibling, the GP1800R. We will be bringing you a full-length episode dedicated to this machine in the coming weeks. So until then, enjoy this episode of "Uncut."
