How Much Does Advertising On YouTube Cost - Tutorial

03:12
How Much Does Advertising On YouTube Cost? Download my Video Ads Cheat Sheet at http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-ads-cheat-sheet/ Did you know that videos improve customers’ understanding of your product by 74%? Every day, approximately 100 million people watch at least one video online, so videos are an incredibly effective way of promoting your product or service. So how much does it cost to run an ad on YouTube? YouTube advertisers pay per view for their ad. I've received views for as little as 1 cent per view. The average cost-per-view ranges from $0.10 to $0.30. All views you receive count toward your overall YouTube views. On YouTube there are 2 types of ads: 1. In-stream. This is where your video plays before another video. 2. In-display video ad. This is where your video ad appears on the suggested videos beside the video you are watching. You can target viewers by age, gender or location or by the types of videos they like to watch on YouTube. What Is Cost Per View or CPV? With CPV you pay when the viewer chooses to engage or watch your video, whichever comes first. Your bid is called your maximum CPV bid, or "max CPV." You can set your max CPV bid when you're setting up your campaign. How Do You Set A Cost For Your Cost Per View Bid? To set a CPV bid, you set up the highest price that you wish to pay per view when setting up your campaign as you select your targeting groups. Targeting methods that you can select may include -- keywords, placements or demographics. For example if you think it's worth 10 cents for somebody to view your video, then you can set your maximum cost per view for only $0.10 . For in-stream video ads, you'll pay a maximum of $0.10 when someone watches your video for 30 seconds or if they watch it to the end, whichever comes first. You won't pay a cent if they decide to skip the video or drop off within 30 seconds. Video interactions from your viewers also include clicks on your call-to-action overlay banners, your cards, and your companion banners. For in-display video ads, you'll pay a maximum of $0.10 when someone watches your video. You’ll be charged only when viewers choose to watch your ad by clicking on the thumbnail. How do you decide what Cost Per View bid amount to set? You can base this amount on the forecasting data that's displayed when you select targeting settings and your maximum Cost Per View. You can also base this on what you know about your business and the value of your sale.  For example, if you sell handcrafted model ships for $1,000 each, then that's probably worth more to you than selling ebooks for $10.00 each. You can set a maximum cost per view of $50 for your handcrafted model ship ads, and a maximum CPV of $1.00 for your ebook ads. That's it! Now you know how much it costs to run an ad on YouTube. How To Earn Money On YouTube Promoting An Affiliate Product

04:36
Check out my CASE STUDY VIDEO at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il9mAoBOX6o You'll learn how a single YouTube video generates affiliate sales on autopilot. Did you know you can earn a lot more money on youtube promoting an affiliate product than earning money from adsense ads on your videos? YouTube receives billions of views every day so why not utlilize some of that traffic to promote an affiliate product on youtube? 1. Look for an affiliate program to promote Go to clickbank.com Click on affiliate marketplace You can search for products in the search box I'm going to click on "software services" Ok here's the product "instabuilder 2.0 The Ultimate Wordpress Marketing Plugin" So if you want to promote that just click on "promote" You've got to set up an account with Clickbank So I can earn 50% for each paying customer that I refer to this product. Click "create" Here's the affiliate link to the product If I want to paste the link on my web page just copy this URL and paste it in my web page. Other affililate programs you can take a look at include JV ZOO, Amazon, Conversant, even Walmart. 2. Do keyword research One of the easiest keyword phrases would be "product review" so in this case you would choose "instabuilder review" as your keyword phrase. Put that keyword phrase into youtube you already see 9000 results of people using that same keyword phrase I would suggest getting more creative and finding a way to rank your video for a different keyword phrase So let's go to the keyword planner Ok here's the google keyword planner Search for new keywords If we go to the sales page we can choose a different kind of keyword phrase So let's look at "drag and drop software" Put that in the keyword planner Click "get ideas" Here I've got one "drag and drop website builder" If we look at the top of the results we can see a number of videos here already it's not using exactly the phrase "drag and drop website builder". Many of them are over 1 year old. 3. Create a short review video about your affiliate product A quick way to create a review video is to simply go to your sales page and then record the screen of the sales page, Scroll through it and talk about the main features of the product You can use a free online screen recording software like screencast-o-matic to record the sales page. 4. Add a call to action at the end of your video Add a graphic to the end of your review video that gets viewers to click the link in the description. 5. Optimize your video so it will rank in the search engines Make sure you include your keyword phrase in the title, description and tags of your video Keep your privacy settings on private until you're ready to publish the video. 6. Publish your video After you've finished optimizing the video simply set your privacy settings to public and publish the video. In this case I've published it already so I'll just click "save changes" 7. Promote your video After you've published the video go down to the "share" button and share it on the social media sites. Other methods of promotion include embedding your video on your blog, notifying your email list, sharing your video on related facebook groups, froums and google plus communities. Keep in mind it may take a few days for your video to rank depending on the competitiveness of your keywords. If it doesn't rank on youtube or google within a week or 2 start an incoming links campaign to boost its rankings. Every time someone purchases the product by clicking on the affiliate link in your video you'll receive a commission. The beauty of this process is that you get paid over and over again. If you make any changes to this and then click save, changes will be reflected in your video. That's it! Here's an important thing to keep in mind.... If you've already added a YouTube Card to your video your call to action overlay will not appear. Therefore make sure you only add the call to action overlay to the videos that don't contain Cards. Download my free report “YouTube Editing Secrets.”...Learn the short cut to video editing on YouTube that doesn’t include expensive software. Go to: http://www.drostdesigns.com/youtube-video-editing. Do you want to trim the middle of an existing video on YouTube without creating a new one? Do you want to keep your current views that you’ve accumulated over time? YouTube’s video editor allows you to trim, cut and edit the middle section of your YouTube video without losing any views, comments and keeping your existing URL. Here's how to trim the middle of your YouTube video using YouTube’s video editor. Go to your video manager Select the video that you wish to edit Click edit I want to edit out a logo that starts playing at 1.04 Here’s the logo that starts playing at 1.04….ends at about 1.13 So to trim out that section..I just click on “enhancements” Click “trim” Now you’ll be inside the YouTube video editor Move the scrubber up to 1.04 Click “split” Then I want to move the scrubber up to 1.13 Click split again Then click the “X” to delete that middle section Click “done” to confirm the changes Let’s check if that section has been cut out Go up to 1.04 and then see that the logo has disappeared So after you’ve trimmed out the middle section you can revert to the original You can save it as a new video but you don’t want to save it as a new video because I want to maintain the views, the comments, the URL and I also want to maintain my rankings in the search engines. So I just click “save” It says “this might take a while..while edits are processed users will continue to see the current version of your video” Click “save” Here it says “edits in progress” It says “sit tight your video edits are being processed. Come back to this page in a little while” So then come back to this page in a little while and see if that middle section has been removed. Here’s my video Go up to the 1.04 mark..you can see that the logo section has been cut out Now I can go into my info and settings I can also create a new title..”leads tunnel review..how to generate leads directly from facebook” Click “save changes” Now you can see I’ve got a new title to my existing video The views have remained the same, the comments remain the same, the URL remains the same and I won’t have lost my rankings in the search engines. Now you know how to trim the middle section of a video on YouTube without losing views, comments or rankings. How To Create An In-Stream Video Ad Campaign Inside Google AdWords

How To Create An In Stream Video Ad Campaign Inside Google AdWords. Download my Video Ads Cheat Sheet at: http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-ads-cheat-sheet What if you could generate 100s of views or clicks to your video or landing page in just one day? What if you only had to pay as little as 1 cent per view? In-stream video ads or Trueview ads as they are sometimes called allow you to play your video before somebody elses video. You only pay when someone watches your video ad for 30 seconds or if they engage with it. Here's how to create a YouTube In-Stream Video Ad Campaign Inside Google AdWords... -Log into your Google AdWords account by going to adwords.google.com -Where it says "All Campaigns" click the drop down -Select "Video Campaigns" then scroll down to the red box -Click the drop down -Click "video" for "video ads on YouTube and across the web" -Enter your campaign name -Budget..I'm going to put $5.00 per day -Because I'm doing an in-stream video ad I unclick "YouTube Search" and unclick "Videos on Google partner sites" -Then you can also select "countries and territories" -I'm going to leave it as is but you can select United States or you can put in even your own town here if you just want to target a specific town or city -Languages..leave it as English but you can choose any language if you're from a different country -Devices...I'm going to leave it at "advanced mobile and tablet options" -You can also schedule your ad and "ad delivery" I'm going to leave it as "Optimize for views" but you can also optimize for conversions or rotate evenly -Once you've done that click "Save and continue" -Now you've got to create an ad group -Before this was called "targeting groups" now it's called "ad groups" -So give your ad group a name..I'm going to leave it as "Ad group #1" -You put your video URL in there and as soon as you put that in there it's got "Video ad type" "drive views, awareness, or conversions" -And you can choose your video ad format which is "In-stream" or "In-display" -In this case I'm going to choose In-stream -You put your display URL in there..this is the website address that appears in your ad -This can also be a video or your YouTube channel trailer..here's my landing page -It's got 3 characters too much so I'm going to remove the www. and http -Then for the final URL..this is the landing page where people go after clicking your ad -It could also be your YouTube watch page or your channel URL -In this case I've got my landing page -You can also select a companion banner -I'm just going to use the auto generated image from the videos in the channel -Then give your ad a name..so I've got "Video ad 1" -The maximum cost per view (MPV)...this is the maximum you wish to pay -They are suggesting 5 cents to 20 cents -In this case I'm going to just put 1 cent -As soon as you put that in there it will give you an estimated reach over here so I get 400-500 views with a predicted budget spend of $5.00 -For Targeting you can do demographics..in this case you can choose male or female, unknown -I suggest you leave this as it is..once you get the campaign going you can also adjust this -Leave Interests as they are -You can also narrow your targeting..in this case you can choose Keywords, Placements..this is the videos that play before your video ad -Remarketing..these are remarketing lists of people that you're targeting and topics but we going to leave it as is -Then we are just going to save the ad group -Click "save ad group" -Currently my ad is under review -This might take an hour or 2 for AdWords to approve it The name of your campaign will show up in the left side here under video campaigns And that's all there is to it. Now you know how to create a YouTube In-Stream Video Ad Campaign Inside Google AdWords. How To Find YouTube Video Tags For Any Video

02:29
Download my video upload checklist at: http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-optimization-checklist Do you want to be able to see the keywords people are using for their video tags? For many years you could view the tags for any YouTube video directly below it’s description. Back in 2012 YouTube removed the tags from view because they were being abused. Even though tags are now hidden from view, you should still use them so your videos can be found when someone searches on YouTube or Google. Getting tag ideas by spying on competitors’ videos will help you generate more for your own videos. Just don’t abuse this feature by copying and pasting ALL your competitors’ tags. Here’s how to find the YouTube Video Tags for any video: *Install the Chrome extension vidIQ at: http://vidiq.com/apps/vision/ *Click on "Install Chrome Extension" *Make sure that you are using the chrome browser *If I look at my video, it will give you the video IQ score, number of views, number of subscribers, likes, FB shares, etc so it gives you a lot of statistics for your video. *You can see all the tags that have been used for the video *And to copy them all just click on the clip button *Do command+v to paste them into notepad *And here you've got all the tags of that particular video *Some of the keywords used in the tags of this popular video you may never have thought of but you can use them in your own video. Some of the keywords used in this popular video you may never have thought but you could use them in your own video if you’re in the same niche. Keep these 2 important things in mind: 1. Don’t abuse video tags Avoid copying all the tags of a competitor's video to use for your own. Instead sprinkle some of the tags that you never thought of for your own video. 2. Don’t keyword spam your tags Avoid using the same keywords over and over again in your tags. Instead use secondary keyword phrases that include or are related to your main keyword. That's it! How To Set Up Placements Targeting For YouTube Video Ads

03:57
How To Set Up Placements Targeting For YouTube Video Ads http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-ads-cheat-sheet Do you want to increase the conversion rates for your YouTube Video Ads? Placements enable you to place your YouTube Video Ad in front of your competitor's video. For example if your competitor's video gets 4 million views your video will play for a few seconds before their video starts playing. If your viewer clicks on your video ad within the first 30 seconds you don't pay a cent. Instead of losing money playing your video in front of unrelated videos you can play your video in front of specific videos using Placements. Placements allow you to include video ads on YouTube Channels, YouTube Videos and websites in the Google Display Network. Here's how to set-up Placements Targeting Go to "all video campaigns" I am going to select the Test 2 campaign Click on targets To create a new targeting group jist click on the plus sign Give it a name Enter the cost per view On the right it shows you how many views/ day & av/cost/view Skip the demographic and interests Click on "narrow your targeting options" Click on "placements" Add the videos manually or search for suggestions Enter "dog training" as the main keyword Options include "YouTube placements" and "GDN placements" which is the Google Display Network So I am just going to choose the YouTube Video Ad Placements Here you can see I've got "Zak George's Dog Training" so I add that one. If I want to check out the video I can just open up a new tab and here's a channel for "Zak's dog training revolution" Now If I want to check out his videos just click on videos Click on the drop down Select "most popular" Here you can see in one year this video got 717,000 views This one got 595,000 in one year 164,000 in one year, etc so all these are very popular videos that I can select. So if I click on the video I can see that the video playing before that actual video so I know that it is monetized. Highlight the video URL, copy it, then place it in manual placements Then I can just click "add all" and I'm done. Now you can see I've got my new targeting group "placement 3" cost per view 6 cents. I didn't touch gender or interest and all my placements are listed. I can add up to 500 different placements. Then you just click "save targeting group" to continue. That's it! Here are 3 important things to keep in mind: 1. You can create multiple targeting groups in a video ads campaign. 2. A targeting group can be tied to more than one individual ad and an ad can be tied to more than one targeting group. 3. For example Placements can be one targeting group & keywords can be another targeting group. That's it! Now you know How To Set-Up Placements Targeting For Your YouTube Video Ads. How To Bulk Add YouTube Video Tags And Get More Views

03:24
Download my video upload checklist at: http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-optimization-checklist Do you want to save time by adding tags to multiple YouTube videos at the same time? Tags help your videos get found on YouTube and Google which results in more views and subscribers. If you want to add the same tags to 1000s of videos on your channel at the same time use the bulk actions feature on YouTube. Here’s how to bulk add tags to multiple YouTube Videos at the same time... Say you’ve got a dog training channel and you want to add tags to all the videos on that channel. How are you going to find those tags? First download the VidIQ Chrome extension which you can get here If you want to know how to install it just watch my video at the end of this video. After you’ve installed VidIQ, then enter “dog training” into the YouTube search box..And you can see here all the dog training videos. For instance this one’s got over a million 85 thousand views in 2 years. And vidIQ will show you all the tags that it is using. So if we click on that video and all you do is just click on this icon, copy all the tags then paste them into a notepad or textedit file or Google Docs. Here’s all your tags so select a few of them..right here, then you go to your video manager, Select the videos that you wish to add the tags to. So I’m going to select these 2. Click on the actions - more actions - tags and here is the drop down box where it says “append’ “set to” “remove” So select “append’ and paste your tags in there then click “submit” And here it says “update videos? You’re about to update 2 videos. You won’t be able to perform bulk action task until this update is done.” Check the box “I understand I can’t undo or cancel this update once it has started.” Click “Yes, submit” Now it’s got “pending edit” Now let’s check the video Click “edit” Now you can see I’ve just bulk added all the tags to this video And if I check the second video, the same has been done to this video. That’s it! Here’s a ninja tip : Include your channel name in all the tags across all the videos on your channel. This will result in your videos showing up for suggested videos that appear on the right side and end of videos containing similar content. How To Find A Niche That's Profitable In 7 Easy Steps

03:17
How To Find A Niche That's Profitable In 7 Easy Steps http://www.drostdesigns.com/get-youtube-traffic Many online marketers make the mistake of falling in love with a specific niche only to find out later that they couldn't generate any profit from it. So how do you find a niche that's profitable? 1. Choose a target audience Ideally you want to find niche you love and also that there's a demand for it. So create a list of things you feel passionate about and have an interest in and then priortize them according to the ones that you love the most. 2. Narrow your niche If your niche is too general people will lose interest because you won't be able to cover all topics they're interested in. Narrowing your niche makes it easier to decide what products to promote. 3. Research the popularity of your niche One of the best ways to determine popularity is to use the free research tool called WordTracker. For example If you enter "running" into WordTracker it will show you the number of searches per month for 100 related keyword phrases. Here are some other ways to find communities where people are talking about your specific niche: Google Plus Communities Facebook Groups Forums The Amazon Market Place Blogs 4. Do market research to determine profitability If there aren't any products that people are willing to spend their money on then you're not going to build a profitable business within your niche. Find the products that people are addicted so they're willing to spend their money. Here are some places you can check: Google Ads Enter your main keyword in the Google search box then look at the ads displayed on the top and right side of the page. Amazon Enter your main keyword in the Amazon search box to look at the number of products and books, etc that you can sell in the Amazon Market Place. ClickBank This is a great place for promoting digital products in your niche. For example if you enter "youtube marketing" in the Clickbank market place it will generate a list of affiliate products you can promote. Commission Junction Find high paying affiliate programs by visiting the publishers section of commission junction. 5. Create a free offer to get people on your list Ask yourself "what free offer, ebook, video or report will get people to opt-in to your list". 6. Create a series of follow-up emails Before someone is ready to buy you have to contact them several times in order for them to trust you. Use a professional autoresponder service such as Aweber to automatically schedule a series emails out to your list. 7. Create an inexpensive product to sell Offer your subscribers an inexpensive product before recommending a higher end product. Once you've set-up a marketing funnel scale it up by choosing activities that generate new customers. YouTube Video Ads - Only Pay When People Watch

02:43
YouTube Video Ads - Only Pay When People Watch Your Video Ad Download my video ads cheat sheet at: http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-ads-cheat-sheet Did you know that you only pay for your video ad if somebody watches it for 30 seconds or engages with it, whichever comes first? If someone skips your ad before 30 seconds you don't pay a cent. This means you won't waste money for people that are not interested in your business. It allows you to maximize your budget by delivering the right message to the right people at the right time. Stay tuned and I'll show you an example... Watch the video ad that plays before my own video If I click on the top left link or bottom left link then the advertiser will pay for their particular ad. If I choose to skip the ad by clicking here within 30 seconds they don't pay for the ad but if I watch the ad for a full 30 seconds then they will pay for the ad. Here's a video ad campaign where I received more views than what I paid for...(watch video) I received 1533 impressions. An impression is counted each time your ad is served on Google's ad networks such as Google.com or other publishers sites, applications. Even though it says 434 views when I checked my video it says I got 685 views. This means I got over 100 views for free. These people are probably the ones that skipped my ad so I didn't have to pay for it. I got a view rate of 28.31%. The view rate is the number of views your Trueview video ad receives divided by its number of impressions which is 1533. The average cost per view (CPV) was only 1 cent however I paid less than that because I got a 100 free views. The total cost was $5.11 cents. I had 11 earned views. An earned view occurs when someone who views your ad and then watches another video or videos in a linked YouTube channel within 7 days of the ad view. These additional views are earned views, but you won't be charged for them. That's it.! Now you know how to get YouTube video views for less than 1 cent per view. You only pay when people actually watch your ad. YouTube Info Cards 10 Best Practices

02:45
10 Best Practices Of YouTube Info Cards http://www.drostdesigns.com/youtube-video-editing Did you know that 50% of views to YouTube come from mobile devices? YouTube info cards allow clickable links across both mobile and desktop devices. This means you can increase the number of people that interact with your videos. Here are the 10 best practices for YouTube Info Cards.. 1. Make sure your cards are related to your targeted audience. They should be interesting, relevant, and engaging otherwise nobody is going to click on them. 2. Use only 1-3 cards max. Even though you can use a maximum number of 5 cards fewer cards will generate more clicks. 3. Spread out multiple cards on your timeline. People won't click on your cards if they're all bunched together. Space them out along your timeline at different intervals. Look inside your engagement reports within YouTube Analytics to determine when people stop watching your videos then add a card there to increase engagement. 4. View your Cards reports. Look inside YouTube Analytics to measure the performance of your Cards. Determine which ones received the highest click through rates and the ones that don't you can get rid of. 5. Don't point at the card in your video. Cards will display in different locations in your video depending on the device a that your viewer is using. 6. Make sure your YouTube account is in good standing. If you want to link your Card to an an associated website then your YouTube account must have no copyright or community guidelines violations. 7. Featured videos won't appear when using cards. Choose whether a featured video or card will work best for your targeted audience. 8. Continue to use end cards. Your viewers may not know they have to to click on the card in order to view them. Therefore use annotations for your end cards so you can direct viewers to related videos. 9. Upload a card image size of 500x500 pixels. You can also select one of the suggested images. I find this image size is a good place to start. YouTube will always scale it down so it will display correctly. 10. Change your cards at anytime. The beauty of YouTube Info Cards is that you can change the URL or image at any time. If you find that your card is not performing well for a previously uploaded video you can swap out the URL or image. That's it! Now you know the 10 best practices for YouTube Info Cards Download my FREE GUIDE "YouTube Editing Secrets" You'll learn the shortcut to editing your videos right on YouTube. How To Find Your Niche On YouTube

04:09
7 Ways To Find Your Niche On YouTube Are you struggling to find your niche amongst the millions of channels on YouTube? You may think it’s best to create videos on a wide variety of topics to appeal to the largest audience so you can get a ton of views and subscribers. The only problem with that thinking is that when you try to reach everyone you end up reaching no one or very few people. It’s like trying to find the best toothpaste in a grocery store from 100s of different brands. You can’t decide because they all look the same. Before you decide on a niche to grow your YouTube channel, think about how you can make your channel unique so it will stand out from your competitors. Download my Video Upload Checklist at: http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-optimization-checklist Here are 7 ways to find your niche on YouTube 1. Do what you love According to Meriam Websters onliine dictionary a niche is a place, employment, status, or activity for which a person or thing is best fitted. Create list of things or activities you enjoy doing or are passionate about. If you’re passionate about something it will be easier to keep going when you don’t feel motivated or inspired. It will also be easier to build a connection with people who share the same interest and easier to structure your video content. Your list may include hobbies, sports, books you enjoyed reading, countries you’ve travelled to, mountains you’ve climbed, places you’ve worked, people you admire or organizations you belong to. Just do a brain dump on paper without thinking too much what to include so you don’t interrupt the creative process. In my previous video I discussed the 7 ways to identify your passion. Click the card icon above to check it out. 2. Share your expertise Are you an expert in a particular field? Perhaps you worked in the marketing department for an offline business and now want to utilize those skills to market your own products online. Perhaps you go camping every year and now want to start a channel on survival tips. I began my channel by just sharing web design tips then discovered I loved making videos. I also discovered YouTube was a great tool for generating traffic, leads, sales. Perhaps you have an old channel that’s built up some authority but has been neglected. You can fire it up with new and improved content. 3. Start something new (scratch) Maybe all things you’ve done in your life don’t inspire or motivate you anymore and you want to try something new. You might want to change your lifestyle by selling your house, buying an RV and traveling around the USA all year. The cool thing about doing something new is that you are your own target market. This means you’ll easily be able to connect with people on the same level by sharing the same thoughts and emotions. 4. Go beyond your limitations If there were no financial or physical constraints what would you do? How would you spend your time if you had unlimited funds? Allow yourself to think or dream big then make a list of everything that comes to mind.. 5. Research your niche Find out if there is an interest in the niche you’ve chosen. Search YouTube to study channels related to the niche you’ve chosen. Has the channel got a ton of new views and subscribers in the last few months? Visit other social media sites such as forums, twitter, facebook groups, linked in groups. Notice what type of questions people are asking. Type your main keyword into Google or YouTube search box. You’ll receive a list of related topics you can create videos about for your channel. 6. Hone your niche Instead of trying to appeal to everyone in your niche, narrow it down so you can focus on one area. Even though you will have a smaller audience, they will be more focused and easier to market to. For example if your niche is dog training, focus on how to train a specific breed of dog. 7. Make your niche stand out Find ways to make your channel unique so it stands out from your competitors’ channels. For example create your own logo, use different graphics, colors, thumbnails, channel art and upload a channel trailer that encapsulates your channel content. Did you know you can earn money from YouTube by monetizing your videos with Adsense Ads? Every time someone views your video you get paid. Keep in mind you need to get 1000s of views to your video to make a few dollars. The more popular your videos the more money you will make. AdSense is a free, simple way to earn money by placing ads on videos. Here are the steps to earn money from YouTube With Adsense 1. Make sure you’re a YouTube Partner Once you’re in the YouTube Partner Program you can monetize the videos on your channel and begin earning revenue generated from the adsense ads. Here’s how to check your channel's eligibility Sign in to your YouTube account. In the top right, select your account icon - Creator Studio. In the left menu, select Channel - Status and features. Under "Monetization," click Enable. You'll only see this option if your account hasn't been disabled for monetization. Follow the on-screen steps to accept the YouTube monetization agreement. 2. Enable your channel for monetization 3. Connect your YouTube channel to an adsense account To earn money from your monetized videos you need to associate an approved AdSense account with your YouTube account. You can use a new or existing AdSense account. 4. Review the ad formats Make sure your video meets the video monetization criteria and review the different YouTube ad formats that are available. 5. Monetize your videos with ads Before you start: Make sure you've set up your channel to earn money. Be sure that the video you want to monetize is set to public. If you're uploading a private or unlisted video, you need to change the privacy settings to public. After you've opted your channel in for monetization and set up your AdSense account, you can enable eligible videos to earn money from relevant ads. 6. Track your adsense earnings Here are 3 important things to keep in mind 1. Grow your audience before monetizing your videos 2. If you want to monetize only a few existing videos, choose popular videos with high watch times. 3. If you don’t want to monetize individual videos then automatically monetize all future uploads using the default option. Top 5 Reasons To Add Transcripts and Captions To Your YouTube Videos

http://www.drostdesigns.com/video-optimization-checklist Do you want your YouTube Videos to stand out from other videos in your niche? Most YouTubers optimize their videos by including keywords in the title, description and tags. Search engines only crawl text, not images or audio therefore you should also transcribe and caption your video content. Top 5 reasons to add transcripts and captions to your YouTube videos: 1. Automatic captions are not indexed by Google or YouTube YouTube’s automatic captioning feature is every inaccurate therefore the captions are not indexed by Google. If you upload a transcript containing all the words spoken in your video it will get indexed and improve your rankings. 2. Increase channel engagement Many times viewers can’t understand what you’re saying because you speak too fast or have a strong accent. Adding captions to your videos will enable viewers to read what you have to say resulting in more engagement. This means you’ll receive more likes, shares and comments than videos without captions. 3. Improve accessibility By captioning your videos viewers who are deaf or can’t hear well will benefit by being able to read you video content. Captions also allow people to watch your videos in a noisy or quiet environment with the sound muted such as at a library. 4. Increase YouTube views Since search engines only index text make sure you include your main keywords in the video transcript. This will make it easier for Google and YouTube to discover your videos resulting in more views. 5. Reach non-English speaking audiences If you want your video to be accessible to viewers from countries that don’t speak English, consider translating your video into multiple languages used multilingual subtitles. Search engines will index your translated caption files and include your video in search results for those languages. This means you have a better chance of ranking higher for non-English keywords due to lower competition. That’s it! Now you have no excuse for not adding transcripts and captions to your YouTube videos.
