Ok so, this boss is essentially a little boy/girl robot that tends to break his/her toys. And with all little boys/girls they will throw tantrums like a little sissy, this boss is no different.
XT-002 Deconstructor Abilities:
ENRAGE - 6mins (if he enrages he will one shot everyone including the tank)
For 10man, its ideal to have a Pally heal the MT/OTs with 2 or raid healers. we had a Shaman, and 2 Druid healers, this fight is NOT friendly to HoT spells, but its doable as you see. :)
5 DPS, perf range (Mage/Hunter etc).
you will need DMB (Deadly Boss Mods). we have placed our 3 healers in select spots to ensure that each one of them can see the MT, and most of the raid, myself I'm positioned on the right side, Kracky on the left, and the wonderful Remyel, is positioned dirctly in the middle for MT/OT Healing.
This is alot like KT Fight in Naxx, you need to ensure your a MIN 10yards away from everyone (if you have DMB type /range)
The boss will randomly select people to "bomb". There are 2 different types of bombs, a Light Bomb, and a Gravity Bomb.
Light Bomb - This Bomb will tick for 3k HP every second, and requires to be healed through, however, this is an AOE Bomb, anyone around the infected within 5 yards will also be effected by this bomb. This bomb can easily cause a wipe if not far enouggh apart. Clarion Call also invented the "Nazi Soup Kitchen Strat" which we will more than likely use during our 25man instances.
Gravity Bomb - This bomb is exactly what it says, it does not do any Periodic damage, but just prior to exploding it will PULL everyone thats within 10yards to them, anyone who is pulled to the injected will be hit for 19,000 - 21,000 HP. THis Bomb can also be the reason for a wipe if you are stupid and don't listen to this Strat.
MT needs to run in and tank him in the middle of the stairs, this makes the heart phase a lot easier as all the adds will be directed to one place. We tried to tank him on stairs this seemed to work but requires a lot more coordination.
every 25% loss of health he will say "So Tired" and he will stop all damaging effects and his heart drops out of his body and fall between his legs (looks like a hanging ball sack....) during this phase there are 3 different types of adds that will be spawning in any of 4 scrap piles in the corners;
When his Heart Drops, EVERYONE needs to DPS the Hearth - DO NOT KILL IT (unless you want to do Hard Mode) - In the video you'll see myself and Kracky DPSing the Heart as well, every extra damage helps. By attacking the heart is doubles all damage taken to XT-002 Deconstructor.
the Scrapbots are the little dudes that if eaten by the XT-002 Deconstructor he will heal for 100,000 HP for every bot eaten, it is important that your range kills the adds AS THEY APPROACH THE BOSS, do not go seeking them out, as you need every second of DPS on the boss.
Pummlers need to be Off Tanked, these guys don't hit for much as long as your tank is Prot Spec'd and properly geared. We tried to have our Off Tank tank this in Ret, its just not possible.
BombBots - These guys are pretty useless unless you want to use them to destroy the Scrapbots as they come out. Our Strat for Bombbots was to ignore them, once these bots walk to the boss they just keel over and die. If these bots are killed prior to getting the boss they do a 10k AOE Damage to all UNITS around them, this includes the robots.
Tantrum - This part is really annoying, in 10man we've found a nice little trick that I'm going to share. Tantrum is the phase where this robot has a hissy fit and wants all his toys dead. He will rotate his shoulders as to cast this so you have plenty of time to Prep, in the video you will see me cast Rejuv+LB on everyone within range, and then during Tantrum I will cast another LB on them. Tantrum does 120% damage to everyone in the raid, so you need to ensure you've placed enough heals on everyone to cover 30% of their health. The Trick we have found is, just as hes about to cast Tantrum, have your Paladin cast Divine Sacrifice, and then Divine Shield or Divine Protection (based off if its MT or OT and whether or not they have add). What Divine Sacrifice does is it allows the Paladin to absorb 30% of all damaging effects to everyone within range, when the Paladin casts Divine Sheild or Protections, it protects the paladin from all Damaging effects. These two in combination allows the raid to take very minimal damage during this phase. We had 2 Paladins and we were able to rotate the spells.
Not everyone is going to be within range of the Divine Sanctuary so you still need to ensure people are well healed and protected.
If you follow this Strat, you should be able to down XT in less than 6mins if you have the DPS for the fight.
