On Wednesday April 3, Amelia Rudolph, founder and artistic director of pioneering vertical dance troupe BANDALOOP, became the second woman ever to perform one of acclaimed choreographer Trisha Brown's most fascinating site-specific dance works, Man Walking Down the Side of a Building. Rudolph and the rigging experts of BANDALOOP collaborated extensively with Trisha Brown Dance Company and Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA (CAP UCLA) to refine the exacting details of the piece for a performance at UCLA's Eli and Edythe Broad Art Center. In a video that captured the scary fall in Plainfield, the woman appears to be distracted by her cell phone and unaware of Acme Windows' access door in front of her. Now the list of people who submitted this is too long to mention here so I will make a list in the comment section below. But what each and every one of these viewers want to know is — Is this video real? Or is it big four legged fake….lets get out the bug spray and find out. I did some looking around on my own and it turns out the very first version appeared on a Youtube Channel called DimanOperator and from there it went to another Youtube channel called 247newsvideos. Since then dozens of other copies of the video have been posted around the internet. Unfortunately, none of my usual hoax busting websites have looked at this particular video -- so there isn’t a lot to go on folks - but hey, like I always say, when the going get s tough here at billschannel… I call the A team! In this case, Mikey Borup from youtube channel Long Live Mikey. Mikey is a leading expert in computer special effects. MIKEY: This one was hard for me to figure out. Because they did everything right… it’s an overcast day etc… BILL: OK what Mikey is talking about is a technical thing… When we see a moving image, it’s actually a collection of still images that go by so fast, it tricks our mind into thinking there is real motion there… Now, the cameras I use take about 30 pictures in one second to make things work right… but what if my camera makes a mistake and only takes 28 pictures in one second. If we’re just looking at a normal video, it’s not really a problem, but if we’re making a video like this one - it can be a really big problem! Let me show you how. Let’s say we’re making this fake video and the creature is is recorded this many frames in one second. We want to place it over our recording of the building, but the camera recording the building makes a mistake and only shoots this many frames in 1 second… We don’t have enough frames! See the problem? Alright so this happens a lot more than you think so video editing software does a neat little trick to fix the problem. What the software does to fix this problem is just make copies of this last frame to make up the difference. But it’s the same picture over and over so nothing moves. It’s like a freeze frame. It’s a pretty cool trick unless you’re trying to make a fake! Because when Mikey looks at it, he can now see the video of the creature and the video of the building are two different videos… and I think you know what that means. It's a fake. Ok so there you have it. In this video, I walk you through the 5 principles to building muscle over 50 and keeping your body strong as you age. Use these principles along with our free resources to get started today! *Use Compound Exercises (1:25) The 5 key exercises to include in the best workouts for men over 50 are Squats, Deadlifts, Rows, Bench Press, and Military press. You may have done these exercise before, but here at the FFP, we show you how to tweak them to keep them safe for aging bodies. It’s important as you get older to do exercises in a way that is safe for your muscles and joints. Incorporating these exercises into workouts for men over 50 can be done in a couple of ways. Firstly, you could do a full body workout that has you completing all 5 exercises 2-3 times per week, just like we show you in our free video (https://fitfatherproject.com/get-free-muscle-workout). You could also do them as an upper/lower body split, where you would do Bench Press, Rows and Military Press on one day and Squats and Deadlifts another day. This is because your metabolism lowers as you age and any excess in calories is more likely to be stored as body-fat. You need to prioritize a lean bulking nutrition plan and fuelling your body for building muscle. What I mean by lean bulking is to have the optimum number of calories above your TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure) to aid with building muscle. This should only be between 250 - 500 calories over, so as not to cause fat gain. They are used as a way to optimize the 2 principles above, exercise and nutrition. If you are not following those 2 principles, any amount of supplements will not lead to the gains you want. My recommendations are: Creatine - Increases strength and your ability to push more weight. Also helps preserve muscle, especially in aging guys. 5g to be taken daily. Protein powder - Supports your protein intake and can be taken as Whey, Whey/Casein Blend or a plant-based blend. Should be taken post-workout. Vitamin D3 - Increases testosterone and keeps your immune system strong. Multivitamin - Ensures you're getting optimal levels of vitamins and minerals. Fish Oil - Helps with joint care and brain health. Turmeric/Curcumin - Reduces inflammation, especially in joints. *Get Enough Rest & Recovery (9:42) A little R & R is always good for you, right? When it comes to building muscle over 50, it’s incredibly good for you. You need to aim to improve your sleep and get an absolute minimum of 7 - 7.5 hours of undisturbed sleep each night. To help with sleeping well, you can use Melatonin supplements, Herbal teas, and should avoid using screens for at least 1 hour before bed, to block blue light that can disturb your sleep patterns. *Optimize Testosterone Naturally (10:30) Testosterone is the most important hormone when it comes to building muscle, but as you age your testosterone levels decrease by 1% per year after 30-35 years old. This makes it harder to put on muscle, but easier to gain fat. For this reason, you need to optimize your testosterone levels. How to Fix “Low Back” Pain (INSTANTLY!)

The irony is, a lot of times what we feel is rooted in the lower back is actually caused by muscles not in the back at all. In this video, I’m going to show you how the glute medius could be the real cause of your back pain and a quick exercise you can do to relieve your discomfort instantly. Once gone, I’m also going to show you a few additional exercises you can do to make sure your low back pain never returns. The gluteus medius is sandwiched between the glute maximus and minimus and lies in and around the hip area. The role of the muscle is to abduct your hip or lift your leg out to the side in either standing or side lying and to keep your pelvis level whenever you take a step. Prolonged sitting during the day as well as an unequal weight distribution when standing are two of the most common reasons for this muscle to get weak and imbalanced. You can quickly test to see if you have the makings of a weak glute medius by standing with your feet shoulder width apart and lifting one foot off the ground. First take note whether or not your opposite hip drops significantly. If it does, this would indicate a glute weakness on that side. You would repeat with the opposite foot as well. When you do this you would also want to see if you had to dramatically shift your weight to one side just to lift that foot off the ground. If you do, this would indicate that you have an unequal weight distribution when standing and it would be especially troublesome when squatting. To fix this quickly, you will want to lay down on the ground with your affected side on top. If your right lower back was bothering you then you would want to lie on your left hip. From here, take your thumb and place it on the area most sore. You should feel that this is going to happen just to the outside of the bony prominence of your pelvis. From here, push to hold back the trigger point and start flossing your leg down and in front of you and then back and up. Your hip should be extended and then lifted into abduction towards the ceiling (being sure to point the toes down to keep the glute medius in focus). Do this about 10 times until you feel the tension in the muscle release. Now, you can burn out the spasm in the trigger point by getting into the fully contracted position of the glute medius muscle and holding as long as you can. Generally, because this muscle is often very weak, this may not be any longer than 30 seconds to a minute. Once you cannot hold it any more you will stand up and you should notice an immediate relief of the pain on that side. This is the quick but not permanent fix for this problem. Since the underlying cause is weakness in the gluteus medius muscle you will want to back this up with some exercises for your low back that you can do a few times a week. I show you three options for this. The first is the hip bump against the wall. The second is called the sack swinger, and can be done with a dog leash if you don’t have a formal dip belt. The last is actually doing the same movement that you did for the treatment, but this time as a strengthening exercise for your low back. Whatever you do, just be sure you are consistent. You will also see that as you relieve the tension in this muscle that your squat performance improves as well. Your depth should be increased and any low back pain that you felt by doing the exercise should be gone since you will now be able to do them with equal force through each leg. And the reason why I feel obligated to give you all of this step by step info for free is because building muscle can be very confusing when it really doesn't have to be. A lot of people want to start training in a way that helps them build muscle faster but there's a lot of information out there on the topic that can make you get stuck in analysis paralysis and prevent you from taking action. And I can tell you from first-hand experience taking action and not over-analyzing is the very thing that's required to build muscle. So in today's video I've narrowed down the list of what you have to do to build the most muscle in the shortest amount of time to just five steps. This way you could follow only these five actionable steps starting today and start seeing quick results in the mirror right away. So...Step one is to calculate the amount of calories and macros that you need to put yourself into a caloric surplus. The easiest way to do this is to calculate your daily calories by multiplying your weight by 18 if youre a man and 16 if youre a woman. I weigh about 208 pounds so you'll see this being used as an example as I walk you through these calculations. Next you'll have to figure out your daily protein intake. Since you're going to be in a caloric surplus you dont need more than 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight to effectively build muscle. So the amount you weigh in pounds is going to be the amount of grams of protein that you need to eat daily. Next lets calculate fat. Super simple. Take your weight in pounds and divide it in half. Thats the total amount of fat you'll be having per day in grams. Now to calculate carbs we want to convert the grams of protein and fat into calories. Multiply your grams of protein by 4 since there's 4 calories in every gram of protein and multiply your grams of fat by 9 since there are 9 calories in every gram of fat then add the two numbers together. Subtract this number from your total daily calories that you originally got by multiplying your weight by 18 for men or 16 for women. Since you're subtracting your fat and protein calories from your total calories this will give you your carb calories. And then for the last step you divide this number of carb calories by 4 since there are also 4 calories per gram of carb. So now you have a very good baseline of how many grams of protein, carbs, and fats you need to build muscle and this exact macronutrient split is the one I recommend. If you want to have more fat in your diet and less carbs you can simply take out 2 grams of carbs for every 1 gram of fat you add in. Even though this will add on a couple extra calories, since we're aiming for a caloric surplus it not gonna hurt and this method of swapping 2 grams of carbs for 1 gram of fat is the simplest way to make adjustments. Now we can move on to step 2 which is to fill all of those macros with Whole single-ingredient Foods that'll help us build muscle. Good sources of protein that you could include are chicken breast, ground turkey, beef, bison, pork, venison, eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, salmon, and most other fish. If you're a vegetarian or a vegan you can get a lot of protein from seitan, tofu, tempeh, nutritional yeast, hemp hearts, spirulina, and black bean, mung bean, or chickpea pasta. For carbs you want to stick mostly to low glycemic carbohydrates unless you're consuming them directly before or directly after workout. Low glycemic carbohydrates include brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes, quinoa, buckwheat, couscous, barley, oatmeal, brown rice pasta, Ezekiel bread, and beans. For fat we got avocado, nuts, nut butters, olive oil, coconut oil, butter preferably from grassfed cows, and cheese. Finally we have fruits and vegetables. With fruits and vegetables it can be a little tricky when you're trying to eat enough food to build muscle. This is because you need fruits and veggetables for your micronutrients but the problem is that they're very filling and not very calorically dense so they're not really going to help you gain weight and build muscle. For this reason I highly reccomend juicing with a wide variety of fresh fruit and veggetables to get your micronurtients in without all the fiber that will fill your stomach up. So out of all these foods you would just choose which ones you enjoy eating the most and incorporate them into your meal plan. You can either pre plan.
