It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? Responsive Scroll Sidebar Widget
Make customizable responsive websites just by drag and drop with EverWeb! http://www.everwebapp.com Roddy McKay is third party developer developer who’s been making EverWeb widgets for many years. For EverWeb’s responsive page layout, Roddy has created a variety of responsive widgets to suit every need. In this video I am going to look at the Responsive Scroll Sidebar widget from the Responsive Column & Grids widget pack. The Responsive Scroll Sidebar widget combines a main section that can include a heading, image and text with a customizable scrolling sidebar that can include multiple sections and links. As you can see widget is fully responsive. Lets take a closer look at how to create the example shown on screen… First create a new blank responsive page then drag and drop the Responsive Scroll Sidebar widget on to the page. You will see an empty box at the top of the page. Using the Widget Settings I am going to add a heading. Next I want to add an image so I tick the ‘show image’ checkbox and add an image. Add in your Alt Text for SEO. Adjust the image size as you want using the slider. Now enter the text that you want to go under the main image. When finished scroll down the Widget Settings and enter the 'Heading' that you want to use for the sidebar. To add the sidebar contents use the Assets List. First click on the ‘Add’ button and enter a name for the first sidebar article. Next add a title for the first article in the ‘Heading’ box below the Assets List, then the text of the article in the ‘Text’ field. Ideally, you will want your visitor to go to the page the sidebar article refers to, by clicking on the button associated with the article. Name this button using the ‘Link Text’ field. Enter the fully qualified URL of the page you want to go to in the ‘URL’ field. Check the ‘New Window’ field if you want the clicked on button to open the page in a new browser window. Now add the second article to the sidebar. Again, start by using the ‘Add’ button below the Assets List and enter a new name for the article. Complete the ‘Heading’, ‘Text’, ‘Linked Text’ and ‘URL’ fields as you want. To edit the contents of any of the sidebar fields, first click on the relevant asset in the Assets List to select it, then change its fields as required. Add the remainder of the sidebar articles that you want. Remember that eventually you may not see all of the sidebar articles once you reach the bottom of the widget. When you preview, or publish, however you will be able to scroll the sidebar to see those that are not visible in the Editor. With the widget contents complete, let’s style the widget… Scroll down to the Main Styles section. First select the font that you want to use, in my example I am going to use Avenir Next. If you are using a Google Font, tick the Google Font box. The ‘Fallback Font’ is used if your preferred font is not available on the visitor’s browser. In this case, the web safe font ‘Helvetica’ would be used instead. Adjust the size of the heading and text for the main section. Now go to the ‘Sidebar Styles’ section of the Widget Settings Use the width slider to change the width of the sidebar. Change the sidebar header font size and color and set the background color. Next in the ‘Sidebar Items’ section I am going to set the border and separator width and color options to make it easier for visitors to see the individual articles I am also going to add a Link Border of 1 so that my link button is easier to see. Finally I am going to go to the ‘Wrapper Styles’ section and set a wrapper around the objects within the widget. Once you have styled the widget, Preview to test how the widget looks before publishing. For more information on Roddy’s third party widgets, check out his EverWeb Widgets website at www.everwebwidgets.com

How to Edit the CSS Styles on Gantry 5 RocketTheme Templates - A How to Edit Joomla CSS Tutorial
Here is how to modify the CSS for your entire Rocket Theme Template. Subscribe Today! ► https://goo.gl/Y3wTy5 Modifying the Joomla template on your site is fairly simple if you are using a template from RocketTheme.com (they have a few free ones for use as well.) This tutorial will show you how to easily change the CSS tags on your Gantry 5 RocketTheme Joomla Template. Tools used in the tutorial are: Gantry and Hydrogen Template for Joomla 3.4+ - found at: http://www.gantry-framework.org/download Here is the text of the subtitles for this video: Hi, I'm Tim Davis from Cybersalt's Basic Joomla channel. I really like the templates that RocketTheme puts out. Their Gantry 5 system makes it super easy to customize the CSS to fit my style and your style. That's what this tutorial is about. Let's head on over to the computer and check it out. Before we get started, apologies for a little bit of garbally audio in that intro; it's the first video I've used the green screen on and I'm still setting things up. But, let's get back to the point here. In order to customize the CSS of a template template using gantry 5 you first need to create a folder inside the template folder to put your custom CSS. So, let's see how to do that first. I'm already logged into my cpanel account and the file manager where this Basic Joomla site is installed and what you want to do is go to the templates folder, go into there and you want to go into the folder that has the same name of the template that you want to customize CSS for. In this case it is the Gantry 5 Hydrogen; G5 Hydrogen. Go into that folder and then you want to go into the custom folder. Now, I just want to point out we're gonna be creating a folder called SCSS there's already one that exists in the template folder, but this is not the one that we're looking for. What we want to do is go into the custom folder and then we're going to create a folder called SCSS. Once we've created the SCSS folder we're going to then go into it and we're going to create a new file this time and that file is going to be named custom .scss. And we'll create that file. Now, that's an empty file, let's get some CSS to customize and put in there. I'm going to the homepage of Basic Joomla right now, I have it set up with the default Gantry 5 page, and change the color of this font here. I'm using Chrome so I'm going to use hit f12 to bring up the element inspector and I'm going to click this arrow and scroll then we'll select this text here. We'll see that getting started is - as we see down here - it's a heading 1 and heading one here is the colored grey. Now I can click this button and I can change the color - you'll notice it will change up here - to something that I want and you will also notice that you sort of get a magnifying glass you can pick a color that's on the screen. This is great for matching up existing colors in the theme or as you're doing your work along. So why don't we just select this purple here, I'll mouse over it click on it, and I click outside of here and go back down, here we have heading one; color is purple. Now, this css, this code here, I'm just going to left click and drag and select it and go CTRL-C to copy it. Now we then go to the .SCSS custom page that we made. We're going to, right click, go edit and now I'm going to paste CSS information in there. Now, if I want to change the color of heading 1, heading 2 to that purple that we selected back here, then I would leave the CSS like this. But let's just change it for heading 1. And basically we've pasted that code in there. We'll save our changes. Now, I'm going to go quickly into the back end of the Joomla site here and click the clean cache button - I use Regular Labs' cache manager - that will clean the cache and that guarantees that now when I refresh this page heading 1 is purple. We can even close the inspector and basically you're all set up to look for other CSS that you want to customize and once you get a hold of the code that you want and set it in the manner that I just showed you you would then go back and add it to your custom .SCSS file. So there you have it; that's how to edit the CSS and a template that's being run on Gantry 5. I hope this tutorial was helpful for you. If it was why not give it a thumbs up or even subscribe to the channel? Thanks for watching and enjoying working on your Joomla sites - God bless. Javascript Scroll Tutorial Load Dynamic Content Into Page When User Reaches Bottom Ajax
Lesson Code: http://www.developphp.com/video/JavaScript/Scroll-Load-Dynamic-Content-When-User-Reach-Bottom-Ajax Learn to make dynamic page content appear only when user scrolls down to the bottom of your page content using Javascript. We are using the onscroll event for the window object and several DOM properties to create the functionality. *object.offsetHeight - *window.pageYOffset - *window.innerHeight. It serves as a smart way for dynamic websites to load only the data required to fill the window, then load more as the user scrolls down the page. You can see this effect if you have a Facebook account and you scroll down your timeline. Facebook executes new Ajax requests each time you scroll to the bottom of the page content, to load in more data to the page magically with Ajax. This way they do not have to load a lot of data to the page initially, and only spend dynamic data loading energy if the user scrolls down the page to see more and more data. Other large scale dynamic websites also use this approach to achieve efficient database data rendering in a smart modern way.

GIMP Scroll through Fonts Quickly: Text Style Preview
Quickly preview fonts in GIMP. When designing a video title, YouTube thumbnail, banner, logo or flyer, finding the right font can take foerever, since GIMP's UI is not optimized. REACT JS TUTORIAL #5 - Javascript Events & Data Changes in React
Let's wrap up beginner React.js lessons with handling JS events and data changes in React.js. If you build a Reactjs app correctly, each component is able to be very "dumb"..it will only be aware of a few pieces of the application and can be reused in multiple places. If a component is only aware of the data it needs and the event(s) it needs to fire when things change, it can be extremely decoupled from the rest of the application and less prone to break as the React JS application changes over time. 5 ESSENTIAL TIPS to Speed Up a SketchUp Model - The SketchUp Essentials #15
PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE More SketchUp tutorials and resources at http://www.thesketchupessentials.com Check Us Out On - Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/easysketchup Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/thesketchupessentials Pinterest - http://www.pinterest.com/easysketchup/ Sketchup is an amazing tool for building 3D models. It's free to download, easy to use, and completely intuitive. In my opinion, it's the best 3D modeling software available right now. However, this doesn't mean SketchUp doesn't have some weaknesses. One of the things SketchUp really struggles with is maintaining high speeds when models start getting really big. The more faces, lines, etc there are in a model, the more SketchUp has a hard time running quickly. Really large, bloated models can take a lot of time to load and navigate. However, there are some smart 3D modeling tactics you can use to make your SketchUp model run more quickly. 1. Turn off shadows and fog SketchUp has several really cool tools for simulating sunlight and fog. However, these tools are processor intensive and increase load times. Turn these options off until you actually need them. 2. Use a lightweight style, like the default style Styles are a great tool in SketchUp for making your model look more artistic. However, as a tradeoff, when you use a style with a lot of different lineweights and visible points, it's just more stuff SketchUp has to render. Select the "Default Style" option, then go in and turn off thickened profiles for a faster loading experience. 3. Put face heavy objects on a separate layer, and turn them off when you're not using them. You may need some face heavy objects, like trees, in your model. However, you don't need to have them visible while you're doing actual modeling. Put these objects on a "Large Objects" layer, and turn this layer off until you actually need it. 4. Pick smart models from the 3D warehouse SketchUp's 3D warehouse is a fantastic repository of different models that you can download into your model. However, the tradeoff is that not all these models are modeled with smart modeling practices, leading to large file sizes. Select models with a smaller file size when working with items in the 3D warehouse, and realize that most objects you put in the background of your model don't need to be that detailed anyway. 5. Purge unused objects Often when working with objects from the 3D warehouse, you'll download models that come with a lot of extra leftover stuff that you don't really need, or you'll delete an object from the 3D warehouse and it leaves a lot of materials, layers, groups, etc. Use the "Purge Unused" item in the model info to delete this unused stuff out of your model. These are my 5 Tips for speeding up a SketchUp model. What tactics are you using to speed up your models? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Today I’m going to show you how to add parallax, zoom in, reveal and fade in to your website. Let’s get started. First add a parallax strip. Go to the Wix Editor. Click Add, scroll down to the Parallax strips. These have the effect already built in. Click to add or drag and drop the strip into place. Let’s change the image to suit our website’s style. And that’s it! Let’s see how it looks. Now I’ll show you how to add parallax effects to a classic strip. First, click to add or drag and drop the strip into place. Then change the image. Select Change Strip Background - Image and pick one. Next, click on Settings. You’ll see there are multiple different Scroll Effects. You can choose Parallax, Reveal, Zoom-In or Fade-In. For now, let’s choose Parallax. Click Preview. Now the strip has an amazing 3D effect. Let’s change it up. Select the same strip, click Change Strip Background - Settings and under Scroll Effects, select Zoom In. Click Preview. See how the image looks like it’s zooming in when you scroll? Next up, let’s add Reveal to a video strip. You can upload your own video like me or choose a free one from Wix. Select Change Strip Background - Video and choose the one you want. Now that you have your video, let’s add an effect. Select Change Strip Background, Settings and under Scroll Effects, let’s choose Reveal. Back to Preview. Take a look at how the image appears as I scroll. Let’s try one last effect, the fade-in. This one’s a little more subtle. First, Change Strip Background and then change the color. Just like before, to add the effect, go to Settings - Scroll Effects and choose Fade-In. Preview and… there it is. As I scroll, the strip fades into view. Take a look at all of the stunning parallax effects we added. They really bring this site to life. Now it’s your turn - use parallax effects on any page of your website. And have fun with it!

jQuery add event handler to dynamically created element
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/04/jquery-add-event-handler-to-dynamically.html In this video we will discuss, how to add event handlers to dynamically created elements. Let us understand this with an example. The following example, allows us to dynamically create new list item (li), attach a click event handler and add it to the unordered list (ul). This happens when you click "Add a New List Item" button. The problem with this approach is that we are binding a click event handler to every list item. This means if you have 500 list items, then there will be 500 event handlers in the memory and this may negatively affect the performance of your application. <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('li').on('click', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('#btnAdd').on('click', function () { var newListItem = $('<li>New List Item</li>').on('click', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('ul').append(newListItem); }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <input id="btnAdd" type="button" value="Add a New List Item" /> <ul> <li>List Item</li> <li>List Item</li> </ul> </body> </html> A better way of doing the same from a performance standpoint is shown below. In this example, the click event handler is attached to the listitem (li) parent element (ul). Even if you have 500 list items, there is only one click event handler in memory. So how does this work 1. When you click on a list item (li), the event gets bubbled up to its parent (ul) as the list item (li) does not have an event handler 2. The bubbled event is handled by the the parent (ul) element, as it has a click event handler. 3. When a new list item is added dynamicaly, you don't have to add the click event handler to it. Since the newly created list item (li) is added to the same parent element (ul), the click event of this list item also gets bubbled upto the same parent and will be handled by it. <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('ul').on('click', 'li', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('#btnAdd').on('click', function () { $('ul').append('<li>New List Item</li>'); }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <input id="btnAdd" type="button" value="Add a New List Item" /> <ul> <li>List Item</li> <li>List Item</li> </ul> </body> </html>

How to properly use the new Lenovo touchpads/trackpads
I had a lot of trouble using the touchpad on my new Lenovo Thinkpad T540p, so much so that I was thinking of returning the device. Then I realized Lenovo's new touchpads require a different style of use than what we're accustomed to. After changing how I used the touchpad, I've had a much more enjoyable experience! Note: You can alter a lot of the settings for your touchpad by going to Control Panel -- Mouse and then look for the touchpad tab (might be labeled as "Synaptics", the company which makes many of the touchpads out there). Let me know if you have any questions or problems!

Resizing Header On Scroll - Full Width Resize Header Widget For EverWeb
http://www.everwebapp.com http://www.everwebcodebox.com With the help of a very powerful widget, you can add a sticky header that resizes when you scroll down the page of your EverWeb site. Here is an example of a basic sticky header that I will show you how to create in EverWeb. The widget that we will be using to create this header was developed by a third-party EverWeb widget developer named Roddy. The widget is available for purchase at a modest price on Roddy’s website everwebcodebox.com You can locate it by clicking on the Widgets 3 link, followed by hovering over Responsive and selecting resize header. Scrolling down this page will show you another example of this widget in use. In this tutorial I am going to show you how I created this header using the widget. This widget is powerful and comprehensive, so I will be skipping over some of the controls that I don’t need to use or ones that I accept the default values for. I am making sure that I cover the most important aspects of the widget, and provide you with enough information to be able to move forward with creating your own header. I also want to point out that Roddy actively updates his widgets, so if you see a control in your widget that you do not see here, it is because the widget has been updated after the release of this video. The header that we will be creating has 4 main parts to it. There is the background, the logo, the text, and the navigation menu. So starting with a blank page for the purpose of this demonstration, I will drag and drop the widget onto the page. This is what appears by default. The very first thing I will do is make the header full width. I do this by clicking on the Metrics tab, and then enabling the Full Width option. I will now click on the Widget Settings tab. The Background The first thing I will do to the widget settings is change the background color of the header. This is done by clicking on the color control next to where it says Background. You will also notice that there is a Background B. This is because by default, the background will be a Gradient. Since I want a solid color, I will also make Background B the same color as the one I chose before. The Logo Next I am going to add the image. I have already added the image to the assets list, so I just need to click on Choose and then select it. My logo appears much smaller than I want, so I will adjust the value next to width, until my desired width for my logo is displayed. I also want the logo to be closer to the top of the header, so I will adjust the value next to Top. The logo is also a bit further to the left than I want it to be so I will adjust the value next to Left. I will also adjust the Resize Width so that the logo is my desired size once it has been resized. I will also adjust the Resize Top value so that the logo is a bit further from the top. The Text The next thing I will do is replace the heading with my own. I will also type in my desired Font Family. Since this is a Google Font, I will check the option for Google Font. You will also notice that the text is overlapping with the logo, so I am going to adjust the value next to Left to move it a bit to the right. I will also modify the resize left value. The Navigation The next thing we will do is add the navigation menu. This is done by adding the navigation menu widget by dragging and dropping it onto the header. Next, I will click on the Metrics tab and enable the Full Width option. Back on the Widget Settings for the navigation menu, I am going to change the alignment from Left, to Right, since my navigation is on the right side of my header. I will also position the navigation menu somewhere around the middle of the header. I will also click on the Fonts button to open up the fonts window to select my font. The rest of the modifications that I make to the navigation menu will be done using the controls on the Full Width Resize Widget, so I will click back to that widget, and then select the Widget Settings tab in the Inspector, and then scroll down to the navigation menu section. I am going to increase the value next to Resize Top so my navigation menu is bit further away from the top. I will now adjust the link color, as well as the hover color. You will notice that some of the changes made to the navigation menu will not appear in EverWeb. This is normal. Your navigation menu will appear much different when your site is previewed or published. I also do not want there to be a background for my navigation menu so I will select Transparent background. I will modify the font size since I want it to be a bit larger. I am going to decrease the minimum width for the links in the navigation menu because I want this spacing between links to be a bit smaller. My navigation menu does not contain a drop down menu so I will skip over the drop down menu style controls.

Android multiple choice list dialog tutorial
In this tutorial you will learn how to use Android multiple choice list dialog, this will allow you to select multiple items from the list in android alertdialog. Here is how to do it: - Add an Android button to xml layout - Initialize the button and then make it clickable by calling setOnClickListener - Inside the setOnClickListener is where we are going to define alertdialog.builder - We give a title for the dialog and make sure to add dialog.setCancelable(false) to prevent user from closing the dialog when clicking in any area outside the dialog - Call dialog.setMultiChoiceItems and then pass items array, boolean array and set OnMultiChoiceClickListener - Call dialog.setPositiveButton and give it a label, inside this button is where we are going to add the checked items to the list and make sure that those are item not duplicated - Call dialog.setNegativeButton and give it a label, inside this button we are going to dismiss the dialog by calling dialog.dismiss() - Call dialog.setNeutralButton and give it a label, inside this button we are going to reset/uncheck items in android alertdialog - Call the dialog.show() to show the dialog That's it!! - Github project source code: https://github.com/codingdemos/MultichoiceTutorial Social media: ▶Twitter: https://twitter.com/codingdemos
