Bootstrap table classes

bootstrap table styles bootstrap table hover bootstrap table condensed bootstrap table border bootstrap table responsive bootstrap table example bootstrap table striped example bootstrap table with border bootstrap condensed table bootstrap responsive table example bootstrap table contextual classes example In this video we will discuss styling tables using bootstrap classes. table class provides light padding and horizontal lines table-striped class provides zebra-striping for the table rows table-bordered class provide borders on all sides of the table and cells. table-hover class provides highlighting of rows on hover table-condensed class makes table more compact by cutting cell padding in half To make a table responsive, place the table inside a div element, and apply table-responsive class on the div element. This will provide a horizontal scrollbar when the screen size is less than 768px (i.e on a small device). On a screen size larger than 768px you will not find any difference. Applying the table-responsive class directly on the table will not do anything useful. Use the bootstrap contextual classes to colour the table rows Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2016/06/bootstrap-table-classes.html Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1

SQL Prompt column picker

01:13
SQL Prompt is a code completion, code formatting, and refactoring tool for SQL Server. It’ll plug into SQL Server Management Studio or Visual Studio. You’ll find you can work more quickly and accurately with SQL queries, as well as standardize across your team by sharing formatting styles and commonly used SQL snippets. Try it free for 28 days at www.red-gate.com/sqlprompt In this tip Data Platform MVP Steve Jones explains how to use SQL Prompt to retrieve just the columns you need in a SELECT statement for speedy results. For more tips for writing SQL effortlessly check out the #SuperSQLTips playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhFdCK734P8A_q6XHDXi4CQzys3R0Jw3X Transcript: Hi I'm Steve Jones from SQL Server Central and I've got a SQL Prompt tip for you brought to you by Redgate software. Some of you that use SQL Prompt may not realize you can do this. Often you'll use a select * to get some table details and you know make a quick query on the table and I can do that here, and I realized hey I don't really want all these columns now. Instead of doing the * I can certainly expand the tab but if I know that there are certain columns that I want. You'll see you as soon as I type an O I get a list of columns at the top, as well as other SQL commands that match an O. But the bottom you'll see there's a column picker and then there's a little tip that says control left arrow, so if I hit ctrl left arrow I can actually just see that really what I want to do is go to the column picker and I can pick certain ones and as it says here space to select columns and tab to insert columns. So i'll just hit tab and I've got all these columns inserted. Now when I run my query I only get what I want. Hopefully you'll find this quick tip useful to you. I'm Steve Jones for SQL Server Central and Redgate Software.

Create your style using the new formatting options in SQL Prompt

03:04
In this Super SQL Tip Software Engineer Andrei Rusitoru explains the fantastic new formatting options available in SQL Prompt 8 from Redgate. Try it free for 28 days at www.red-gate.com/sqlprompt For more tips for writing SQL effortlessly check out the #SuperSQLTips playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhFdCK734P8A_q6XHDXi4CQzys3R0Jw3X Transcript: Hello, I’m Andrei Rusitoru and I work for Redgate software. Today I’m going to show you how to create your own style using the brand new formatting options in SQL Prompt 8. In SQL Prompt 8 we’ve added our completely re-designed formatting engine, giving you the best possible control over your formatting styles. Today we are going to go through the new SQL Prompt formatting options in SQL Server Management Studio, but exactly the same functionality is also available in Visual Studio. In SSMS I’m going to open the SQL Prompt menu at the top here and choose Edit Formatting Styles from the drop-down. This opens the Formatting styles window where you can see we have already included a couple of example styles to get you started. Keep an eye out for more of these in upcoming releases. Under “Your Styles” I’m going to click on Create a style to get started. It’s much easier to build your style on an existing one rather than starting completely from scratch. If you have created styles in previous versions of SQL Prompt then you will find them added here, and you can continue to work on them. I’m going to use Redgate’s Default Style as a base to build my new style on. So here are all the options. As you can see we’ve added a lot of functionality to allow you to tweak your style settings. Each of the main areas of SQL code has a section down the left hand side here, with sub-sections to help you easily find and manage these settings. To start with, let’s take a look at the GLOBAL settings and set the Whitespace options. For my tab behaviour, I want to use only tabs and I want 2 spaces in a tab. As you can see, there is some sample code at the bottom here that updates live as you change your settings so you can see exactly what impact your changes are having. If you want, you can change this to your own code if you have a query open. I don’t want to wrap my lines so I’m going to uncheck that. And finally I want to add a space before my commas. Let’s check how it looks… that looks good so I’m going to press Save. My new style has now been added to the menu on the left, and I can see a preview of what it does right here. This is going to be really helpful when I’ve created a few of these. I can also set the new style as my default active formatting by clicking Set As Active. I’m now going to go back in and change some other settings, so I click edit at the bottom here. I like to have my JOIN clauses right aligned to FROM, so I’m going to change that. I also like to have an extra line between them so I can see them easily. And I want my AND/OR operators to be aligned to the first list item, so I am going to go down here to the EXPRESSIONS section and change that under Operators. As you can see, there are lots of options to help you get your SQL looking exactly the way you want it and you can keep tweaking it until it looks perfect. You can create as many styles as you want too, so if you want a few different versions you can create them and then easily switch between them by simply right-clicking in your code, we are going to cover this in another video soon. So there you have it, it really is that easy to create your own style using the new formatting options in SQL Prompt 8.

Temporal in SQL Server 2016

21:07
The term “temporal data” refers to records that are versioned in the database. For any given logical record, there is a current version and zero or more prior versions. Both the current and any previous versions are represented by physical rows in the database, though not necessarily in the same table. Data integrity is hard when working with temporal tables. Each time a row is updated, there needs to be a way to ensure the current versions of the row in copied into the prior version table. This can be done with triggers or stored procedures, but both have their problems. Querying temporal data is likewise challenging. Though you can easily get the current version of a logical record, retrieving the version of a particular data requires a complex and often error prone query. This often leads developers to invest in databases that are specialized for this type of workload. SQL Server 2016 is offering another alternative, the new Temporal Table object. Superficially, a Temporal Table looks just like a normal table. It supports most column types, normal indexes, columnstore indexes, foreign keys, etc. CRUD style operations work as expected using normal SQL or an ORM. In fact, you can convert most normal tables into Temporal Tables without changing the stored procedures and applications that use said table. Implementation wise, a Temporal Table is really two tables. One table contains the current values while another handles the historic versions of the data. The tables are linked so that any UPDATE or DELETE operation in the normal table automatically creates a corresponding history row. (INSERT operations don’t create historic records.) Design Rules Temporal tables need to have a SysStartTime and SysEndTime column, both being a non-nullable DateTime2. These columns can be named anything and are managed by SQL Server; users are not allowed to insert or update values into these columns. The column type FILESTREAM is not supported, as it stores data outside of the database. For table Foo, the history table will be named “FooHistory” by default. This can be overridden. The history table cannot be modified directly, you can only add to it by updating or deleting data from the current table. INSTEAD OF triggers are not supported and AFTER triggers are only allowed on the current table. Create Shopping Cart Using PHP and Mysql

28:02
Create Shopping Cart Using PHP and Mysql Hello Friends, In this Video We are creating Simple Php Cart Tutorial. Download Sorce File :) http://file-upload.com/d/Ao55 Create new shopping cart project and add four product images. Create new database Product detail, create a new table product and add 4 column id, pname , images and price. now we are inserting our product details in our table we are adding four product in table. before we start make sure that you had subscribe to daily tuition channel. First Create a new php file with php extenstion. We are using bootstrap framework with javascript library. Copy bootstrap cdn in your cart.php file in head section. Now we are import google font in for better font family. Copy google font url and paste in style tag in our file. Now create new php session on top of the page. And create a new variable and assign database name to that variable. Now create Database connection and pass four parameter . Host name, username, password and database name. Now create sql query to fetch data from our table. Execute mysql query with two parameter connection and Query string. Now we are check if product table number of rows is greater than 0. In while condition we are fetch array and store in $row variable in array format. Now we are display dynamic images so we are adding php tag in source of image tag. This way we are display Dynamic image on our page. Now I want to display product name php $row["pname"] in this way we are display product name from sql table. Do the same to display price also. Now add input type text to add quantity of product Now create submit button input type="submit" Add css style to division tag of product class. Now create a table to display product details. Create a php code to calculate total amount of product. So first we are check that our cart session is empty or not if it is not empty To display product information in key and value pairs. This way we can access all values of session cart. Now I want to display item name so is have use echo To display item name from our cart session Now I want to display item quantity and price so I do that same as I do this before. After this we want to calculate price of product base on quanitity. So we are adding item quantity divide by item price. After this we want to remove item from cart so we are add to access the id of product. Now we want to calculate total price of product so we add After this create new row with colspan three and align this to right. Now display total amount of your product with after this create new css style to table table head and table data. And also style up shopping cart details titile. So now run script We are getting error in the line no 137 So make sure that you are compete all curly brackets. Here we miss one curly bracket so we add this to remove this error and again run this project. Now we cannot see the image because we only specify the name of our image not the absolute path of our image so I have move this image from image folder to our root path. And delete image folder. Now we are creating a php code top of the page First check that isset submit button. Then check that our session cart variable value is set or not with isset function. Create new variable item array id with two parameters. Now add in array function to check whether a value exists or not. Create item array variable Now after this assign item array value to session cart to count index we already specify session cart to count variable. Now redirect our page with echo window.location=cart.php And redirect page to window location = cart.php page. After this check if session cart variable is not set then the isset execute else block. Now we will run our project but we find that table is not display properly so let’s find out what is the problem In this code we missing the table tag so we will insert table tag with table and table bordered. Then we are check that if get action is equal to delete if it is true then further code is execute. Now create a for each to access the value of session cart variable. After that check that if product if is equal to get id. If it is true then execute further code and unset session cart variable. Now we cannot see product price and name so let’s find out what is the problem. We are missing the echo function in the h5 tag in design section. Add laptop bag one quantity and vivo v5 with three quantity. Iphone 6 with 2 quantity and Phillips trimmer with one quantity. And at the bottom you will see the total price is calculated. Now we are remove vivo v5 item from the cart and it was removed. At again remove iphone 6 and you will see the difference in total price is reduced because we was removed one product. so if you have any question or any opinion please comment on my video and share this video to you friends. If you have any other question you can chat with me in channel discussion. You can follow me on Facebook Page. Thank You...!

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Part 9 - Lookup Transforms

25:42
If you'd like to help fund Wise Owl's conversion of tea and biscuits into quality training videos you can click this link https://www.wiseowl.co.uk/donate?t=1 to make a donation. Thanks for watching! By Andy Brown https://www.wiseowl.co.uk - Lookup transforms are where Integration Services starts getting fun! They allow you to import sets of data, matching a particular column's value against a "lookup table" and storing the corresponding record id. Not only that, but you can customise what happens when a matching lookup record isn't found, and also use cache transforms to speed up access to your lookup table. If you like the style of our tutorials but think that there is no substitute for classroom training, we agree with you! Have a look at our two-day SSIS introductory course at https://www.wiseowl.co.uk/courses/ssis.htm (we'll consider running this in countries outside the UK, although this won't be a cheap option).

Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) Tutorial - Part 1

06:58
Learn how to create an Entity Relationship Diagram in this tutorial. We provide a basic overview of ERDs and then gives step-by-step training on how to make an ER diagram with correct cardinality. Entity Relationship Diagrams are comprised of 3 main categories: entities, attributes, and relationships. Entities are objects or concepts that are associated with important data—like a customer, order, or product. Attributes represent properties or traits of an entity, such as a customer’s phone number or home address. Relationships demonstrate the link between entities. Another main aspect of of ERD's is cardinality, which further defines the relationship between entities in a numerical way. Certain symbols signify the minimum and maximum relationship between different entities. Report Builder 3.0 for SQL Server 2012 Part 4B: How to add HTML to your Reports and Style them

11:15
This is a very nice section on formatting. One of the things that I like about this section is that you learn how to introduce html directly into your report. With the rich collection of wyswyg editors available, this makes it possible to get a report to look any way that you like! We also learn a couple of other tips, such as how to display all values from a field correctly when we don't want to use a table data region or how to create hyperlinks in our report. This comes from the -format text- tutorial on msdn. As always, I've added an instructor touch to the tutorial. Remember, the best way to learn is to do the tutorials after you watch the videos.

TRY CONVERT function in SQL Server 2012

07:46
try convert function in sql sql server try_convert try_convert in sql server 2012 try convert sql try_parse vs try_convert sql server In this video we will discuss TRY_CONVERT function Difference between CONVERT and TRY_CONVERT functions Difference between TRY_PARSE and TRY_CONVERT functions TRY_CONVERT function Introduced in SQL Server 2012 Converts a value to the specified data type Returns NULL if the provided value cannot be converted to the specified data type If you request a conversion that is explicitly not permitted, then TRY_CONVERT fails with an error Syntax : TRY_CONVERT ( data_type, value, [style] ) Style parameter is optional. The range of acceptable values is determined by the target data_type. For the list of all possible values for style parameter, please visit the following MSDN article https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187928.aspx Example : Convert string to INT. As the string can be converted to INT, the result will be 99 as expected. SELECT TRY_CONVERT(INT, '99') AS Result Example : Convert string to INT. The string cannot be converted to INT, so TRY_CONVERT returns NULL SELECT TRY_CONVERT(INT, 'ABC') AS Result Example : Converting an integer to XML is not explicitly permitted. so in this case TRY_CONVERT fails with an error SELECT TRY_CONVERT(XML, 10) AS Result If you want to provide a meaningful error message instead of NULL when the conversion fails, you can do so using CASE statement or IIF function. Example : Using CASE statement to provide a meaningful error message when the conversion fails. SELECT CASE WHEN TRY_CONVERT(INT, 'ABC') IS NULL THEN 'Conversion Failed' ELSE 'Conversion Successful' END AS Result Output : As the conversion fails, you will now get a message 'Conversion Failed' instead of NULL Example : Using IIF function to provide a meaningful error message when the conversion fails. SELECT IIF(TRY_CONVERT(INT, 'ABC') IS NULL, 'Conversion Failed', 'Conversion Successful') AS Result What is the difference between CONVERT and TRY_CONVERT CONVERT will result in an error if the conversion fails, where as TRY_CONVERT will return NULL instead of an error. Since ABC cannot be converted to INT, CONVERT will return an error SELECT CONVERT(INT, 'ABC') AS Result Since ABC cannot be converted to INT, TRY_CONVERT will return NULL instead of an error SELECT TRY_CONVERT(INT, 'ABC') AS Result Example : Using TRY_CONVERT() function with table data. We will use the following Employees table for this example. SQL Script to create Employees table Create table Employees ( Id int primary key identity, Name nvarchar(10), Age nvarchar(10) ) Go Insert into Employees values ('Mark', '40') Insert into Employees values ('John', '20') Insert into Employees values ('Amy', 'THIRTY') Insert into Employees values ('Ben', '21') Insert into Employees values ('Sara', 'FIFTY') Insert into Employees values ('David', '25') Go The data type of Age column is nvarchar. So string values like (THIRTY, FIFTY ) are also stored. Now, we want to write a query to convert the values in Age column to int and return along with the Employee name. Notice TRY_CONVERT function returns NULL for the rows where age cannot be converted to INT. SELECT Name, TRY_CONVERT(INT, Age) AS Age FROM Employees If you use CONVERT instead of TRY_CONVERT, the query fails with an error. SELECT NAME, CONVERT(INT, Age) AS Age FROM Employees The above query returns the following error Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'THIRTY' to data type int. Difference between TRY_PARSE and TRY_CONVERT functions TRY_PARSE can only be used for converting from string to date/time or number data types where as TRY_CONVERT can be used for any general type conversions. For example, you can use TRY_CONVERT to convert a string to XML data type, where as you can do the same using TRY_PARSE Converting a string to XML data type using TRY_CONVERT SELECT TRY_CONVERT(XML, '[root][child/][/root]') AS [XML] Converting a string to XML data type using TRY_PARSE SELECT TRY_PARSE('[root][child/][/root]' AS XML) AS [XML] The above query will result in the following error Invalid data type xml in function TRY_PARSE Another difference is TRY_PARSE relies on the presence of .the .NET Framework Common Language Runtime (CLR) where as TRY_CONVERT does not. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Part 12 - Other Foreach Loops

22:43
If you'd like to help fund Wise Owl's conversion of tea and biscuits into quality training videos you can click this link https://www.wiseowl.co.uk/donate?t=1 to make a donation. Thanks for watching! By Andy Brown https://www.wiseowl.co.uk - A previous tutorial showed how to loop over files in a folder using SSIS packages; this one shows how to use the other main types of FOREACH loop. The tutorial covers: - looping over rows in a table using an ADO enumerator - looping over items in an in-memory table - looping over the rows of a SQL Server schema recordset - looping over the nodes in an XML file If you like the style of our tutorials but think that there is no substitute for classroom training, we agree with you! Have a look at our two-day SSIS introductory course at https://www.wiseowl.co.uk/courses/ssis.htm (the course runs in the UK, and in warm countries by arrangement).

SQL - Group By Clause

10:49
The more data you start interrogating the more records you will return. Its always the same, you start off with basic criteria and before you know it you are referencing several tables to obtain the information your after. The questions being asked are no longer "what was the price of that product?" the questions are more generic, like "How many orders did we do this month?". The more tables you add to a query the more likley you are going to ask summary style questions of the data as you are no longer interested in specific records your more interested in trends. To get the ball rolling on this aspect of SQL you need to start using the group by clause. This clause allows the user to summarise information in the form of aggregated values which you assign to specific fields (i.e. group to them). This video will cover the basics of how you start grouping your data into summary information. The video will start by explaining on the small scale but then show you on multiple tables how it is achieved. This is not the end of the story with group by but this should give you the knowledge to plow into some rather meaty queries. This is one of many videos which can be seen at PCTeach.me.
