I have one by sandshark. I though of using an umbrella anchor but I don’t think it screws in deep enough to hold in 2-3 foot seas when anchored at the beach. The sandshark can screw in a couple feet deep.

What size carabiners are you using?

I just ordered 4 for my 20' pontoon at Lake Mead. I'd been using slide Anchors for a few years and stoked to see how this would work. I think you inadvertently raised the price on Amazon lol.

Too many variants on amazon... what brand?

Very nice! Also to attach the line to anchor just thread thru hole like you did then loop it over one of the arms and pull it tight

Glad to hear it works for you, in your water conditions. I’m not up to trusting my PWC to a $7 plastic anchor, sorry. I’m the $60-$70 anchor guy.

It looks like that anchor would easily pull out of the sand if there was a strong tidal flow. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you gave it a strong pull to dislodge it from the sand as part of your demonstration. I would have just looped the rope over the anchor handles after threading it through the hole instead of using that other "hook" gadget. On a strong tide and with lots of stress that "hook" gadget may also break the plastic which I think will get more brittle in the sun as time goes by.

They actually are about impossible to pull out by hand.. with a bungee lead itll stay, short of a hurricane..

How’s the red tide out there?

Great piece but why use a second carabiner when you just loop the loop around the handle when pulled through the hole

+Garry Dean legit bro thanks for info I have been using this grappling hook style anchor that is ok if a ton of rocks or logs are at bottom of lake to catch on but going to try this i typically keep ski in waste deep water so shouldn't be hard to fasten!
GoneMudden (3 months ago)
Possibly rope chafing on the plastic is why not just looped.

I agree, like I stated in the video, you dont even need them, you could literally just use a dock line.
